Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot much not too like - The only criticism was that the air conditioning in our room was not very cool for the first few days when it was hotter than expected for the time of year (early May) apparently due to the whole hotel system having only just been changed over from winter mode.
This is a great hotel, clean and spacious with lovely interior decor and great outdoor pool facilities. It also has a gym with great air con and a lovely heated indoor pool. The food was excellent lots of variation each day / evening, something for everyone. There was great sushi a few evenings! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the entertainment was also brilliant. highly recommended!

SwitzerlandNothing.
Every single person of their staff was very nice to us. Still, I'd like to highlight the receptionist Jessica, the cleaning lady Mena and Rute, from the kids club. They were very helpful and sweet with our kids.

United KingdomIf staying for a few days, it wasn’t possible to book the special restaurants (this should be advised to book in advance of stay). Wet bar was shut. Lots of kids and inflatables in the pool. Check in was long and staff seemed unapproachable/unfriendly. Sign post to new Sports Bar should be better.
Close to the beach, great location and cheap taxi into town. Availability of food and drink was good.

PortugalFor the less good part. The pool chairs are reserved since early in the morning. A lot of chairs are damaged on top of it. The place is overcrowded with screaming children, shouting adults and loud music. The whole pool areas are too small for all the people and by far too noisy. In the evening again an overcrowded bar with long waiting queues to get a drink and not enough outdoor seating places. On top of it the animation is not very amusing, unless for children. The noise of the music goes on until late night and you can hear it in your room up to the 5th floor. Sports activities such as Yoga is a disaster. Sitting in the grass trying at least to relax a bit is not possible due to the noise level. We wanted to cancel the last night and were asked at the hotel reception to contact Booking through whom we made our reservation. We contacted Booking and got the response that the hotel did not accept a free of charge cancellation of one night. Only at 5 PM on the last day the reception called as that if we want to leave we can and get reimbursed for the night. A bit too late at 5 PM! All-in-one, a nice hotel with even not bad food and good all-inclusive drinks, but extremely overcrowded and noisy. Unfortunately nothing to spend some relaxed holidays in a couple.
The staff at the restaurant, bar and for the activities was very friendly and helpful. Thumb-up. It's defenitely a great hotel but only for families with small children who doesn't care about the noise.

United KingdomThe water temperature in the main pool was a little colder than expected. Didn’t seems to be a heated pool but once you got in it was fine. I had a reaction to the bedding as they may have washed them with bio detergent which I’m allergic to but the once I had spoken to the manager the next day they swiftly sorted it all out. The dinner restaurant was ok. The oriental was great though. You have to have the Sushi there.
Breakfast was good. Standard stuff that you would expect.

ChinaThere was a young guy at the front desk, I think he was Portuguese who was rude, unhelpful and weirdly arrogant. We booked the tennis courts as we told we had to & the tennis court was full of kids and he told me to just ask them to leave. I explained that wasn’t really my job and then he called someone to make arrangements. Went back to the tennis courts and we had half the court with kids running around everywhere. We were made out to look like we were ruining people’s holidays! So I don’t get why they have a booking system? Same with the pool indoors. They say adult only times are 8-11 and I had to ask twice why there were screaming kids with inflatables and using the sauna? Other hotel users down there weren’t pleased either. The same guy at the desk was consistently rude, we asked whether it was cheaper to walk to get a taxi outside of the hotel or for them to book one, he said “what difference does it make???” Passive aggressively and was just outright a rude person. The evening meals were Buffett food and there was always something you could eat but it’s quite kid based in terms of it being more party food. Also, we had to book in to other restaurants on the resort and were told they were full until Thursday, we said we were leaving Wednesday and they said “ok fine go tonight at seven” and there was barely anyone in there which was a bit bizarre. Gym isn’t really a gym as it has no dumbbells and the cardio machines barely work! Definitely don’t go here if you have allergies. Nothing is clearly labelled and people would mix the nuts that were randomly about onto the food!!
Bridgita at the front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating at all times! The room was clean and spacious with a safe & a well equipped bathroom. The breakfast was also really nice.

United KingdomSome of the food was quite salty and there was a poor selection of alcoholic drinks available. The pool was also freezing.
The food selection at the buffet was good and the whole hotel was very clean. Hand sanitiser was available throughout the hotel. There were plenty of sun beds and we never struggled to find somewhere to sit. The hotel was also a short walk to the beach. The staff were all helpful and friendly, and the entertainment team had regularly activities available and were very enthusiastic.

United KingdomThere was no iron available at all. We were told they had 1 and it was broken. The pool outside and inside was ice cold. The AC in the room was not effective, it did not work properly. The food selection was limited and very repetitive. Also, when beach towels are put on the sun loungers, they are sometimes taken up and if you loose them you are charged 10Euros per towel. The doors don’t close properly to the room, you need to pull them up in order to close it. In the bathroom the water pressure is too strong and flows over sink when you turn it on, the shower also leaked through the side when we used it.
The entrance was beautiful along with the views.
