Whilst the bathroom was a good size the step up to the sink and toilet when you enter poses a bit of danger. The tiles are the same pattern at both levels making it difficult to see the step up particularly at night. The hot water was really great but just took a while to come through which I feel wastes water.

The staff spoke great English which was a lovely surprise having just come from Spain which was more of a challenge at times. Location-awesome. Lots of shops , points of interest and restaurants around. The room size was wonderful as was the bathroom size. Nice quality of linen and towels and very clean. The breakfast was substantial and variety of what was on offer exceeded expectations. Fell in love with Tavira and would not hesitate to choose A Muralha again for our next visit. Even though our room faced a pedestrian street, we were not impacted by any noise.

Amazing breakfast - plentiful and varied choices. Lovely welcoming staff and the room is clean and spacious in a central location. Complimentary filtered jug of water upon arrival and access to tea making facilities are nice touches. Excellent hot water in the shower too.

Our stay was wonderful

The staff are really friendly speak excellent English.Right in the middle of town.Great suggestions for local restaurants.Tavira is a lovely small place cobbled stones plenty of restaurants.Room nice and bright overlooking patio.Really good breakfast include lots of healthy choices.You can hire pushbikes for €12.Nice trip to Santa luzia via cycle path access to the beach from there by walking for about 15 minutes.

The property was in a great, beautiful location. The staff was exceptional and made the stay feel very personalized and homey. They really thought about the small details in the hotel. The comforters were luxurious, and the mattresses were extremely comfortable. The delicious breakfast was mostly homemade and had a ton of options! The staff gave great advice and recommendations for the city and places to eat. I even needed to find more film for my camera and they pointed me in a direction with great options. We wished we could have stayed longer! Absolutely wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Tavira. The staff made the trip!!

Car parking is an issue. The nearest car park is about 400 metres away and well used. We got lucky with someone leaving as we arrived. It was the last parking slot available. The shower is over bath and did not feel safe as it was spongy and slippery under foot. Our room number 103 overlooked the street and was not double glazed so was noisy from around 6 am. There is a lot of choice for breakfast however hot choices were on heaters and they were on show for quite some time.

The location was excellent right in middle of the old town. Room was a good size. Beds comfortable. Great towels.

The elevator/sitting-chair did not work. The hotel has difficult floorplanning no elevator and not a helping reception or somebody to help with suitcases - which is not acceptable.

Everything was great!

This is a simple, clean, affordable and well located hotel in the center of beautiful Tavira. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent and offered a lot of variety. The fresh juice was delicious! I requested a room with windows that I could safely leave open at night for the fresh air. They offered me a queen room and it was perfect! I would definitely stay here again.

People that had room below me could go out on the balcony. So the guest that was the same time as me smoked (so the smoke fume came in to my room)and was talking late at night

I really loved this place and will book here again. The bed was comfy and had 2 different sizes of pillows to choose from. They make sure it is a healthy breakfast and not always the same food every day. You can feel they care for the guests.
