Quite dangerous to get to by car, very steep road climb. The situation with hot water is very bad, it's very unstable. Either it is very hot, then very cold, then warm. It is impossible to set it comfortably

Large house in a quiet location. Very nice outside. You can grill.

    It was all good.

Calheta d N maybe is the most beautiful and unspoiled village on Pico. The house is right in the middle of the village, you can walk to the 2 bars which have not seen gentrification or mass tourism and hopefully never will. The house has wonderful bedrooms with sea views, balcony and a nice terrace for sitting in the evening sun. Owner was very friendly and helpful. The house was very clean and very quiet, except for the evening concert of the shearwaters. We’ll be back.

I am delighted to share my experience with Pedra do Lagar as a property host on the beautiful island of Pico. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by her warm welcome and attention to detail. The property itself was immaculately maintained and furnished with all the amenities one could need for a comfortable stay. What truly stood out, however, was the Host hospitality and genuine care for her guests. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, not only providing insider tips on local attractions but even reopening up one said attraction, that isn't currently open to the public, just for us - the whaling boats heritage "Casa do Bote" where she volunteers. But what truly left a lasting impression was her passion for the island and its culture. She took the time to share with us the history and traditions of Pico, and her love for the island was infectious. Through her guidance, we were able to truly immerse ourselves in the local culture and leave with a deep appreciation for this stunning destination.
