Excellent location on the beach front. A very old style Hotel. Antique furniture and beds. Clean but very basic. We had no balcony but most other rooms had - that would have been nicer to have one. Staff were lovely and so helpful. Basically no frills but very reasonable. Food in the restaurant was good.

The hotel is a little dated but is clean and comfortable. The bathroom was strangely small but it has everything you need. The breakfast wasn't great but there are many other places to eat around so that wasn't a problem really. Coffee was good so that's all I really needed in the morning anyways.

It was a good location in-between the river and ocean. The beach was great the views are excellent and it was just a very relaxing place. Only 5 mins from the airport aswell.

Not a huge selection in the evening meal choices, and quite expensive for what was offered (spaghetti bol was 12 euros) Only chicken dish was piri piri They do also offer hot breakfast (scrambled egg, beans and meat) but it was not hot. Warm at best, sometimes the cooked meat was cold

Sadly everything is a little bit old fashioned and the hotel could use an overall renovation. For one night however totally fine.

There was a guesto shouting and screaming at the top of his voice. Its was very disturbing because we could not tell f someone was a risk nor hear if he had someone in the room or was on the phone. The hotel manager tried to locate the room the noise was coming from and quite a number of guests came out into the corridor whodse sleep was disturbed like us. It went on for about one and a half hours before it stopped. There was a football match and it may have been to do with that, ut we all had our sleep disturbed.

The only thing that I would say is the sink cabinet is in a bad state of repair and needs replacing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Its a great location and the hotel is charming and old-fashioned but in a very nice way. The breakfast is good value at €8 with everything you could want from fresh fruit, ceral, breads hot eggs and baco, cold cuts and cheese, etc. The showers are hot and everything is very clean. The airport is only 5 minutes away but you don't see or hear the airplanes on Faro Island. Its a great place to go to when you first arrive and to have a few dayas on a great beach. Parking is free too.

It’s a little worn.

The hotel is an architect designed joy in the modernist tradition. It’s situation is perfect between the Atlantic Ocean and the lagoon with a bridge connecting it to Faro itself. Great value for money.

Needs modernising

Hotel is old but in a convenient position - they are building a new bridge over the lagoon right outside the hotel - but amazingly it has become an attraction to watch the workmen from the hotel bar ! The reception lady was so friendly and the room was fine for a short stay The beach was fabulous for being so near to the airport - I decided to walk back to airport after I checked out and stood watching the planes flying over my head ! Great spot for a couple of days !

Construction on a new bridge going on but that was only during the day whilst we were out anyway.

It was near the beach on Faro Island. Taxis to Faro are expensive but the ferry is really cheap. Staff were really helpful and as it was my birthday whilst I was there gave me a cake and took 50% of my meal on that day. If you want a beach holiday it is ideal. ATM is just across the road.

There was a huge platform & building site next to the hotel. This is because a new bridge is being constructed. This is no fault of the hotel & this did not disturb us at all.

Have stayed at the hotel several times before, always acceptable. This time staying in one of the refurbished rooms Pleased with the room itself, sadly the bathroom still leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully the owners will continue to invest and continue to improve the hotel. Very good restaurant on site with excellent staff.

Description should include that bridge construction work is taking place adjacent to the hotel, and therefore there is no hotel carpark.

Uncomfortable location. This '60s built hotel has seen better days. It stands on a strip of beach/river front that has become a busy/noisy thoroughfare - access to the only beachfront in Faro. One side of the hotel faces a busy strip of hotels and tourist restaurants - with cars and motorbikes cruising up and down it on parade. The other faces the river - with jet traffic flying into the Faro airport at all hours and - for the next few years I imagine - the sound of the piling machine 9 - 3 5 days a week while they expand the bridge. And they do need this - congestion getting in or out of Faro Island could cost you half an hour to 45 min just to get your chance to cross the bridge.

The proprietor was accommodating. When we said the traffic noise coming from the strip below, he moved us to a room on the river side for the next night.
