It was hard to find a plug point and we had to disconnect TV to use one. A round of repairs/renovation would do no harm.

Host was very polite and welcoming. He also served us well at the eating areas. Breakfast was a bargain for 7 euros. restaurant has a nice view of the creek. Hotel is just across the street from beach and closeby to restaurants and bus stop.

Our room stank of stale smoke. Reception suggested this was from people smoking on the balcony. It clearly wasn't. The room was ingrained with the stink of stale tobacco. I suspect this may have been from the sofa bed which had several burn marks on it. Bathroom was very small, the toilet seat wasn't well anchored, the shower screen was only a metre above the level of the bath and the shower hose was very short. We were directly above the restaurant and there was a singer performing there. It was extremely loud and hard to get rest before an early start.

Reception friendly and helpful. Room ready half an hour before official check in and a nice view to the river. Beware though make sure you wear mosquito repellent as I got bitten several times. Room was clean if a little tired but beds were comfortable.

The biggest challenge - even though I like a firm mattress - is that the mattresses were pretty much solid. And only one pillow each which was a bit annoying. Also made me laugh but if you want to use the kettle you need to place it on the floor as the lead doesn't reach the table.

This is a lovely little hotel with friendly staff, right next to (but not on) the beach (it's on the river) - the beach is literally just over the road - had a proper ocean view to look on in the morning before my swim. It is clean and functional - yes it's a bit dated (the hairdryer was, err, well ... if you want power take your own!) but it was good for our 3 night trip. If you don't want to be on the road - ask for a river-side room (all rooms get some kind of view which is nice) If I went back to Faro I'd definitely stay in this area again rather than the town (I love the beach and ocean) and would probably stay here again if I couldn't get a beach-front place. I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat in the restaurant - we don't really do breakfast and took our other meals at the beach-side restaurants.

I didn’t mind it, but I think the older bathrooms might not be to everyone’s taste. The shower was certainly too small and low for me.

It’s a family-run small hotel that kept most of its 70s charm, directly on the beach.

Great hotel five mins by bus from the airport. Its a small no frills hotel that's a less thansa minute from the beach. great food and very reasonable priced drinks. take the bus from the airport that says beach walk 100 meters across the bridge and your on the doorstep of the hotel.

Public transport was quite difficult to get to the hotel but that isn’t the hotel’s fault!

We didn’t have the food when we were there but it was a great location for the beach!

The hotel is bang average; the inside is outdated, the shower hardly worked and the inside isn't particularly comfortable considering the high price of the hotel.

But hotel not updated in 30 years and the price was way too high. We got two separate beds and bathroom very small.

Staff really nice. Location is perfect, frontine beach and close to the airport (no noise). Some nice tea and cookies for free when you arrive. The view was amazing from all angels as you have water around you and sunset on one side and sunrise on the other.

Bath need to be changed (115), the looks of bath puts you off from going in. Bit noisy night time as noise coming from the street ( bin collection 2 am) . Lack of milk for coffee.
