The location of the appartment is excellent, you have superb view on the Funchal, The apartment had everything you need and even more: all necessary staff for cooking and living, air conditioning, fireplace, amazing terrace. It was very comfortable, cosy and felt like home. On the territory of the hotel you can also visit restaurant and spa. Just perfect

Food is pretty expensive on the estate compared to Funchal, but very good. A car is a must, to get to the top of the estate. The door is stiff on the cleaning cupboard so thought it was locked for several days - inside is the airer, seat cushions for outside and cleaning equipment. Watch out for sharp corners on coffee table, as each one of us got scratches from it during out stay.

Great location for golf and tennis. The view of Funchal, the sea and stars from the balcony were amazing. Views from both bedrooms, living room and main balcony. Handy for bus into town, only 2 Euros each per journey, or a taxi for around 12 Euros. Friendly and very helpful staff on estate, which are mostly up at the golf club and Casa Velha. Apartment was spacious and homely. Beds were very comfortable too.

The most amazing view of the NYE fireworks! The apartment is spacious, clean, with fully stocked kitchen (including microwave and dishwasher and washing machine). It’s ideal for a family.

The apartment has met our expectations to the fullest. We had an apartment on ground entrance level which direct view onto the sea and the harbour of Funchal. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need. There is no cleaning service or chanching of towels/bed sheets included (we booked 7 nights) but can be requested upon an additional charge. Checking in was super easy and communication before arrival has been smooth. Location is perfect as you are 15 minutes from the airport and around the same time from Funchal.

It isn't in town and you have to drive everywhere from there. The spa and gym are quite costly. We couldn't use the bath in our flat because there was no plug.

Some of the furniture was a little tired, lamp shades stained, walls scuffed and generally the apartment deserved a bit of TLC and could I felt have been much cleaner. Poor quality towels and linen provided. No welcome drinks or even a bottle of water! We had a problem in both bedrooms and en-suite bathroom with ants - even in the beds which wasn’t great - and no solution offered when I reported it. We tried spray but they were persistent! Also we had a leaking toilet which we had to catch with a bucket for four days until the plumber could attend.

Highlight for me was the spectacular view of the bay and all of Funchal. Photos don’t do it justice. We loved eating out on the balcony and watching the sunrise and sunset. Also the kitchen facilities were top notch and everything you could need was provided. Great location too for Funchal and exploring the island by hire car. And added bonus we loved a few hours in the heated pool in the village forum.

Near the main road, so you can hear noise, if windows are open. Furniture in the balcony is a little outdated. Also we had a few small problems, but it was quickly resolved.

Outstanding view from the balcony to Funchal! Nice, light and cozy apartment. It has everything what you can need. Secured territory, free parking. The apartment is near the main road, so it is simple to reach all places in the island. Definitely I would recommend this apartment.

The apartment is very close to a motorway and the road sound was very loud, it ruined the experience of sitting on the balcony - I think guests should be warned of this in advance. Some of the decor in the apartment and the towels/blankets were poor quality and considering the price of the apartment I was expecting better.

The location was great, just outside of Funchal and within easy driving distance of beauty spots and walks. The view from the balcony was spectacular and the apartment was mostly well equipped and clean.
