Overall, a lovely place to stay. This is a great property if you’re looking to be a bit outside of touristy areas.

Very minimally stocked kitchen. Would be difficult to cook if you planned to make meals in the apartment.

Paulo (the property manager) was incredibly helpful. He came to greet us and even brought batteries late at night for the AC remote. We loved the little garden our back. It was a perfect place to unwind after a busy day of sight-seeing. It felt peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the Mama Mia restaurant about ten minutes away.

The room felt a bit dark and cramped, with many doors in the style of these buildings. I would recommend adding a few items to make the room more comfortable, such as a small fold away table with chairs, as there was no place to sit and eat. We couldn't eat in the garden because it rained every day of our stay. Would also be nice to provide hand soap.

Basic and clean accommodations. The balcony door leading to the garden was very nice. Bed was comfortable and fridge was useful. There are no staff on site, but response time by message was quick.

Room was not serviced for the four nights we stayed there. We had to take our rubbish across the road to bins. No fresh towels for the duration or vacuuming etc. breakfast was delivered in a bag and while lovely it was all the same each day and no real choice.

Fabulous room. Old style high ceilings and very quaint

As we are on a bigger European holiday and a family of 4, we were carrying more luggage than the average guests I am guessing.

Lovely older styled hotel and really liked how our Villa was adjoined to the terraced garden!

The only problem was about the stuff for breakfast. After a week, the bin in the kitchen was full, and we didn't have other bags for the trash. Also, it is useful to have a broom for swepping.

The apartment is very cool and, the garden is beautiful and the location is near the main strees with a lot of restaurants and shops.

The garden is not so cosy, so we did not really hang out there. You‘ll take ~15-20 min to the inner city on foot, so it’s not directly around the corner.

Very nice place to stay! It‘s an apartment rather than a hotel. But very beautiful, clean and the location is good. You can walk into the city or quickly take an UBER. The host is super nice and made our (spontaneous) check-in easy!

It is a bit far of a walk to get to everything - I think the price is a little cheaper than places I saw closer to reflect the difference. But it’s definitely a bit of an uphill trek back, especially after dinner. Not a huge deal but be aware!

A very cute, authentic building with a lot of charm! The rooms and vibe were really cute and the garden was beautiful.

A nicely located flat with a beautiful garden in Porto

    • Group

A bit difficult to climb the ladder to the patio (where the two single beds are located), especially with luggage - moreover, the patio ceiling is low, so we had to be careful :) there is no indoors living room area, but the garden outside really compensates for that (as long as the weather is good).

Very nicely located in Porto, just a 10 to 15-min walk from central locations. Ideal for a short-term holiday when the main goal is to stroll around Porto and discover its beauties. The garden was great for chilling in the afternoon before going out and taking breakfast before a busy day out! The hostess was very helpful during the check-in process and provided us with many interesting suggestions for dining. She even allowed us a late check-out, since there were no other guests that same day, and that was highly appreciated by all of us.

We stayed in a family room, which was quite spacious. We had direct access to the garden which was a nice bonus. The room was clean and tidy. The area is fairly central and you can easily reach some of the main attractions by foot. Madalena, our host, was very friendly and attentive. She was also very accommodating of our late check-out request.

The first room we were offered was dingy and musty and very small and the hand basin blocked. Also it didn’t lock well as the door jamb was broken. After the first night, we complained and were offered a room on the first floor which was far superior.

Fairly steep climb from centre to the apartment (Porto is very hilly!) However the Bolt/Uber service was excellent and very reasonably priced so it was easy to get in and out by car. The kingsize room we booked was at the front of the building on the main road so there was traffic noise and we didn't use the balcony. Rooms at the back would be quieter.

Nice room, high ceiling, extremely comfy bed with lovely linen, kitchen with a microwave and all the necessary plates and utensils to make snack food and breakfast or plate up/heat takeaway food. Not touristy. Hosts quick to respond to texts, didn't meet in person. Lovely to have room serviced daily.

The bathroom and shower cabin in our room were small, wouldn't recommend it for people of larger stature.

Extremely friendly staff, we arrived really late but Vicente waited for us and we were in contact all the time. Good location, although uphill (as is everything else in Porto).

The shower was a little weak and hard to get to a decent temperature - it was also mouldy as there was no window, etc. Floor boards were very squeaky, so I could hear everyone's movements, but it was an old house! We left at 3.30 am for our flight after our 2nd night. A little breakfast bag would have been nice delivered the night before as we had paid for bed and breakfast for 2 nights 😕 The back door was left unlocked after it had been cleaned, which we only realised when we got back from being out allday.

Lovely large room with own shower and toilet. Good facilities including a microwave and kettle. Breakfast was amazing in a little bag left at door- great selection. Bed was very comfy with nice clean bedding. Air conditioner which was also a heater was great. Nice little garden up a flight of steps where we had our breakfast. Geraldo was very helpful and welcoming also and arranged a taxi for our return to the airport at 3.45am!
