The matress was quitte thin. Also the pillows we're quitte thin. I wouldn't stay longer than 2 days in Viseu because there's not that much to do but in general it was still a nice stay.

The location was near the square and also only within a 20 min walk of the bus station. There we're restaurants really close to the venue and also small stores with local Portuguese products. Very nice location. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was amazing.

While there's heating in the bedrooms, there isn't any in the rest of the house, it's literally freezing, including the bathrooms, you can sit in the lovely communal areas either cause it's just too cold. It's very expensive and not even tea/coffee provided.

Right in the heart of old Viseu, charming old building, tastefully decorated, spotless, excellent showers, welcoming owner, safe, peaceful, spacious and very warm dorm, quality furnishings.

Cleanest hostel i have been in Europe (i have been to many). Rooms are big and beds are new. Bed with storage under...and h Enough hight to sit comfortably in the bed. Super fluffly big towel and staff super friendly. Well equiped kitchn, just need a water purifier (they said water is not good to drink from the faucet there)

The only less positive point was the mattress and the bed, which could have been more comfortable.

You can't get a better location than this one. It is right in the middle of the historical quarter, making it an excellent base to explore the city. The room was spacious and the building is nice and cosy and always smelling great! :) Continental breakfast was good as well. Attention from the host is over the top!!

Best hostel I've been to in Portugal !! Very very clean - the toilet, the rooms, they clean very thoroughly, every day, and it feels very clean and cozy. Breakfast was also very nice, and for a fair price. Staff was very warm and welcoming, I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Viseu! I hope to be back one day :)

What was a downside was the noise from the street. Bars and clubs around made it quite noisy. But not the hotel's fault.

The location was prime. In the middle of the city. Close to all the tourist attractions. Surrounded by bars and restaurants. And about 10 minutes from the bus station. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Perfectly clean. Cozy. Felt like home away from home.

Noise from the common areas can make it to the sleeping sections. Not ideal for socializing outside quiet hours but not a dealbreaker either.

The central location is absolutely great. The triple rooms are also small as dormitories go meaning that at most you'll be sharing it with no more than 2 people which is ideal.

I would like to personally thank Cristina for her amazing reception and kindness towards me. She was very sweet and caring whilst my short stay in VisHostel. She arranged things in order for me to feel more comfortable. Thank you so much Cristina! About the hostel per si: the location is right in centre of Viseu, it is easy to access and I believe it provides you comfortable beds, clean shared bathrooms (which can be quite private!) and with an amazing breakfast option. The internet was also stable. Obviously, as it located in the city centre, you can expect some noise during the night, but nothing that - in my perspective - would affect your sleeping. Overall VisHostel exceeded my expectations and I do reccomend it for everyone!

There was really nothing I didn’t like about the property. If I could say one thing that could be improved would be the lighting in the bathrooms. The automatic lights are a great energy saving touch but the sensors wouldn’t always turn them on so I’m the evenings it was quite dark.

The property was in a great location. It was very comfortable and for a hostel the standard of the facilities were amazing!

Sandra was very thoughtful and helpful, the shared room and all the amenities were comfortable and clean, even the bedroom and bathroom have enough privacy despite being shared. Can't recommend it enough if you want to stay in the most central place in viseu for a great price.

The bed, in spite of the comfort of the matress, made noises at every movement, making it difficult for us to rest.

Stayed 3 days, private room with bathroom. Location- Prime, all historical buildings and restaurants on doorstep. Establishment- very well run. Very clean, homely, good breakfast. Nicely set up, lots of effort. Value- very good Bed- mattress needs to be replaced, lumpy and uncomfortable. Linen and towels- good - large and small Quality of sleep - not great if you're a light sleeper. Doors are not soundproofed, quite noisy when people return from nights out. Otherwise, the area is quite quiet. Facilities- description states washing machine,  tumble dryer - this is misinformation and needs to be reworded to Laundry service €15. They did, however, recommend a self service Laundromat within walking distance that's actually great- inexpensive and quick.

Nothing important but the tv and the remote sometimes didn't work.

The room was very cosy and comfortable, everything looked clean and new. The whole place smelled really nice too. The location was perfect. Close to pretty much everything. Good breakfast with plenty of options. The owner was very nice and always ready to help.
