The fact we had to leave....

What was not to like? We can't think of anything! The room was great, as was the whole location. And the hosts Manuela and João were the best. They are very kind and will make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Manuela knows a lot about Porto and the surrounding areas, and the surprise "ovos" (eggs) from João were a treat! Like the rest of the breakfast, by the way. About the room, it's super clean. The best we have seen so far. The location is very quiet for a good night rest, but downtown Porto is easily accessible with the Metro, only a short walk from the location. In short, if you want to visit Porto and want a really nice location to stay, you can't go wrong with Charming Antas House. If we are going to visit Porto in the future, we will return here for sure.

Nothing. It was all spot on.

A real slice of Portuguese hospitality, away from the masses and in a lovely area. Manuela's attention to detail is amazing, as were the breakfasts, our room, the shower, the beds...I could go on. The place is absolutely immaculate and faultless. If you prefer to be in the centre of things, surrounded by lively bars, this place isn't for you. However, if you like to spend your days sight seeing, then come back to comfy armchairs before walking four minutes to a locals' restaurant (booked for us), then look no further. We honestly didn't want to leave. My number one tip: don't immediately stuff your face on breakfast as there's more to come...! We will return as this has set the bar incredibly high for accommodation. Thank you to both of you!

This is an absolutely stunning place. The early XX century decor made us feel like we were time travelling. The location is great. It's close enough to the center with easy access to transports but it's also far enough to be quiet. It is walking distance to the stadium, parks, shopping center etc. The breakfast is varied and with a lot of homemade goodies. It was heavenly. It is super clean and comfortable. Lovely and quiet at night. Manuela and João are the perfect hosts, we felt like we were staying with family. We are already planning our next stay!

From the initial warm welcome by Manuela to the final warm goodbye upon our departure, we couldn't have had a better experience during our stay at the Charming Antas House in Porto. We loved the old world charm, and spacious room and bathroom. Everything was super-clean. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Nothing, it was perfect

Everything was fantastic! Manuela gave us detailed information on Porto and Antas and even provided tickets (top up type) to make our short journeys into the centre easy. The people, food and luxurious home made us feel so welcome , we had the best experience and appreciate the hard work, organisation and attention to detail needed to make this possible. We would endorse every excellent review, everything was wonderful. We are already anticipating our next stay - maybe when Porto FC play against Newcastle United!

Everything was really great. Manuela is such a wonderful, attentive and helpful host !!! The house is very beautiful in a perfect location (with a private parking and very convenient to walk to the metro, close to the center). The breakfast is also a highlight, so delicious and fresh, made with much love ! We also had tasty dinner once there and also fully enjoyed the atmosphere. (Other typical Portuguese restaurants can be found nearby.) Manuela, thank you sooo much for everything. Highly recommended for a stay in Porto.
