Like being with a safe and secure family member. Host, location, supplies, pickup and dropoff….everything was perfect. Absolutely exceeded our expectations. Thank you Antonio..the port was first class, mamas cake divine and the custard tarts were delicious…

We loved it all!

The location was amazing, so close to everything! We were picked up at the airport by our host Antonio. On the way to the apartment, we were given a mini tour of Porto which was very informative. Antonio then took us to the apartment and we were greeted with his mother’s homemade chocolate cake and items for our breakfast during our stay. He also shared recommendations for our visit. We were in communication with him during the visit and everything went so smoothly. Obviously, Antonio went above and beyond. However, with all the special amenities, he even went above and beyond that. We felt like family by the end of our two night stay. We slept great, enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the apartment and did lots of sightseeing. We hope to return for another lovely visit to Porto, and it will definitely revolve around being able to schedule our stay with Antonio.

Everything was perfect, but the mattress on the bed was a bit too firm for our old joints.

The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. The host did everything possible and more to ensure we had a very special time in Porto, and spent considerable time explaining the history of Porto and Portugal, and detailing the places we shouldn’t miss seeing. He also left us plenty of provisions for a healthy breakfast, and even a bottle of very special port. It all added up to give us a truly amazing few days in Porto. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Antonio's apartment was the perfect location for exploring Porto and the views of the rooftops of the city were amazing. Antonio picked us up and returned us to the train station always with a smile. From the breakfast items, to the Port wine and especially to his mom's chocolate cake we were taken care of like family. Antonio gave us great recommendations for what to see in Porto and a great restaurant just doors away. Antonio made our two nights the best possible!!!

Property was in a great central and safe location on a 4th floor level. Great for couples. António the host is awesome and sets the bar for hospitality greatness. As with many properties in centrally located areas, it can get noisy at night in the street below and sounds of young folks partying can be heard in apartment; nothing your iPhone white noise generator can mask out to sleep peacefully while enjoying the convenience of central location.

Antonio went out of his way to make our visit the best possible- he gave great suggestions for places to visit, excellent chocolate cake and Port wine on day one as a welcome and then pastries and sparkling white wine on day two! Everything was to my liking. The apartment building itself was older, but the apartment was well equipped. We felt that we were in an authentic Porto apartment.

Antonio went out of his way to make us feel welcome in his city of Porto. He picked us up and entered the apartment with us and talked with us about his city and where everything was in the apartment. He wanted to make sure that we were comfortable in our surroundings and ready for adventure! He had stocked the fridge with some cheese, ham, bread and jams. He also treated us to a family made chocolate cake and Port. He is a great conversationalist and an attentive host and a pleasure to meet. Any concerns/questions we had were addressed right away. He also drove us to the train station at the end of our stay. We are looking forward to coming back. The apartment was centrally located, near the train station and all sites of interest were within easy reach by foot. There was also a lovely restaurant just a few doors down from the apartment. Thank you Antonio for your unmatched hospitality.

Everything you read about Antonio is true! He was at the nearby parking garage waving us in on our arrival, was effusive in his greeting, helped with luggage, and spent a lot of time giving advice on the area. The little extras you read of here are wonderful touches. The apartment comfortably sleeps three with couch included, it has a few extras other places don't (an iron!), and the kitchenette is available for light cooking (Antonio also provides some breakfast items). Location is quite good for Porto in that most things you might visit are within a 1-15 minute walk. There are ample solid restaurants in the area (reservations helpful at some) and nightlife within a few blocks. Antonio kept excellent communication from before our arrival through the day after we left, ensuring all was well. We would readily stay again.

Bed was a little too hard for our liking.

The property had everything you need for a stay whilst on holiday and Antonio was the perfect host. He left little surprises everyday, from wine, port, pastries and his mums chocolate cake. The apartment is perfectly positioned to a lot of the tourist sites and loads of restaurants. Had a wonderful stay in Porto.

We stayed for about a week and it was an awesome experience. Antonio, who is running the facility with his mother, is an amazing host who really cares about his guests. There was a little surprise on the table everyday. His mother's cake was incredible delicious and the wines where too. Location is great. All sights are in walking distance, so normally there is no need to ride a bus or metro. Antonio also provided a nice pickup service from and to the airport including a brief sightseeing during transfer with a lot of valuable information. You should also try some of the recommended restaurants from the list he provides. Overall it was a great experience and we really recommend the stay in is apartment.

The room is a little small for two individual people (mother and son traveling). Would be perfect for a couple or solo travel.

We had a wonderful time in Porto and this room was perfect for our needs. Antonio was a kind, generous, and knowledgeable host. He took us to the train station and routinely offers guests if they need transportation to and from the airport (not needed in our case). He also surprised us with a bottle of port to drink during our stay! There is breakfast available in the room (cereal, toast, jam, coffee) if you want to get the day started with a monument versus breakfast in Porto. Location is great! Right near major sites. Half mile from the Duoro. Be prepared to walk some hills on the return journey. But this is going to be common to all lodging. We were mother and son traveling. Son (I) slept on the couch. Extra bedding was available. It was a pretty comfortable and spacious bed given the circumstances.

Exceptional hospitality and warmest of welcomes from Antonio, a wonderful host! The apartment is very central, yet lovely and quiet and light thanks to the position high up, at the back of the building. Antonio picked us up from the airport, gave us excellent local tips and a different (edible) treat every day - what more can you ask for? It was just like staying in a friend's flat! When we needed help he was always on hand to help out via the phone and he even took the trouble to follow up and check how we were getting on after we left, even offering to take us back to the airport. A great experience all round!

Beds were a little hard. And only enough hot water for 1 person to shower at a time. but I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I haven't experienced customer service like this ever.

Antonio is the best ambassador of Portugal. The Booking was created for such persons and approaches to the guest. You do not need five stars boring hotel experiences. You deserve real people of the country you are traveling to. And that is Antonio and his approach to the guests. Simple things which makes people care about smallest but most enjoyable part of every day life.

The weather was a bit disappointing,but it was January after all.

Apartment was very comfortable, with everything we needed. Antonio was the perfect host, spoiling us with a surprise every day, be it wine, cakes, etc. The chocolate cake was exceptional. The location very central to shops, restaurants, metro and train station. I would recommend the apartment to family and friends.

The best of the best…. Everything, we were treated like Royalty, the welcome, homemade port, which totally spoilt us from tasting other samples. The kindness, he was so kind and just did so much for us. DO NOT WASTE ANYMORE TIME RESEARCHING ANY OTHER PROPERTIES,, YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANOTHER PLACE LIKE THIS. please read my reviews on Tripadvisor within the next week. Heading home to Canada, Lisbon, a waste of time and money. zGo to Porto. Skip Lisbon, a crap hole….
