Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

SpainThe flat needs some big refurbishment!, stains on the walls ,everywhere. Walls are in bad condition due to humidity .I chose this flat because it had a terrace but when you see it has nothing to do with the pictures.It is dirty,chairs+table are old, floor of the terrace is dirty,there are cigarettes in the plant pots and the sunshade is moldy.we didn't use the terrace in the end because you just don't feel like using it Honestly, I would feel ashamed if I rented a terrace like that to my guests. It feels like the owners just keep on renting it but hardly ever come and check it
The flat has a pretty good surface and the area is pretty quiet and safe

NorwayThe administrators of this place are disrespectful and a bunch of liars. Within 20 minutes in this property we found such a huge amount of problems starting with unchanged, stained and smelly bed linen on the sofa bed, no information about wifi password or any other facilities in the premises, no bowls, no tea spoons, fridge not closing properly, exposed water damage in the walls (even close to electric sockets), black mould on the kitchen wall, etc. We contacted the administrators immediately and their response was: - THERE ARE FRESH BED LINEN ON THE CUPBOARD (are we customers or cleaners?) Taking this answer as disrespectful, we contacted Booking.com directly and asked to mediate with the property for a full refund to leave the property immediately (on xmas day). The answer was: All the issues have been reported to the administrators of this property and it will be resolved next day. As a gesture of MERCY, Booking.com issued us a refund of 20% of our payment (that has been done weeks before arrival) To finish, my son decided to stay at a friend's house for the whole time as he had no TV for the entire stay and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable besides the fact that he couldn't trust on bed linen left on a smelly trunk in the living room (don't blame him), we also had our 3 years old daughter with us and could never leave her unattended in the house because of the bubbling walls with water damage, dodgy skirting boards and risk of electric shock where the wall were damaged by the sockets. It's such a shame that the website only allows us to upload a few pictures of the property... it does not make justice to see the real deal. I will try to post the worst spots. We were forced to be there from the 25/12 till the 01/01 and at any point, nobody EVER TURNED UP EVEN TO SAY HELLO!!! NO ISSUES HAVE BEEN TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION OR RESOLVED.
Disgraceful! Apart from the fair location (hard to park your car and have to pay for it), there is absolutely nothing good I can say about this property. We had a huge number of problems from the very beginning till the last day, such as, dirty linen, non working TV, black mould on the kitcken walls, water damage bubbling the walls and detaching the skirting board, broken chairs, rust on kitchen drawers, you can barely fit a double bed in the bedroom, no lights on the courtyard, big leak on the shower screen into the bathroom floor, unfunctional cooker (puts the electrc circuit board down when its on) and a disgracefully dirty oven, etc... a complete waste of time and money. The apartment administrators are an absolute joke promising amends and repairs that never been done. We are disappointed that Booking.com, such a trustable site still keeping such a horrible property as a choice for their customers

GermanyMold everywhere! Even in the washing machine. Shower head holder was broken leads to uncomfortable bath. 3 rolls of toilet paper for 3 people for 4 nights. Broken utensils. Wifi doesn't work or its very very slow. Dirty floors. Dirty toilet mat one of the bed were just behind the street door full of noises and dust.

United KingdomFront bedroom a bit noisy as only a front door off pavement! no air con which if hot means needing to open up after a day to get a bit of cool air...The location is a bit out of the way to main transport...but once you know where you are its easy to cope...
It is an interesting old property nicely modernised inside, the best bits are actually the kitchen and bathroom; the middle bedroom is snug and quiet...also an open enclosed area behind great for drying clothes. Easy to get in using key code.
