The absence of blackout curtains in the kitchen is unusual

The location is very good, apartment number 1 is spacious, clean and well equipped. The windows face the pedestrian street, so it is a bit noisy because of the restaurants. Getting in is easy, Lisa sends the necessary information before arrival.

The douvet in the closet was filthy dirty (brown with hair) so it was a little cold at night just under the sheets

The street outside is noisy at night because it is cobbled and the bars/restaurants have the rubbish collected etc. Because of this and a few insects that liked the taste of us, we couldn't leave the window open overnight and the apartment doesn't have any air conditioning so it was very warm, even out of season.

The apartment in excellently situated to explore Funchal and a great base for Madeira in general. It has everything you need for self catering and was nice and clean.

I missed a sea view, but that is just on ME and not the property!

Check-in very easy, keybox outside and procedure very well explained by Lisa. The apartment was very well located centrally in "classic" Funchal, short walking distances everywhere. The street is busy, but the apartment was facing the back yard which was very quiet, just a few offices across which was only populated workdays (and -hours). Good size bathroom, bedroom and kitchen/living room. Kitchen well equipped for cooking food. Great wifi and tv with tons of channels. Two small balconies in my flat (I was in flat no. 2, out of 4 total, 2 on the 1st floor and 2 on the 2nd). Very comfortable bed, even the pillows were perfect (not always the case). Perfect base for a stay in Funchal for a single person or couple (if with children there is a sofabed in the living room). Recommended.

The appartment is small. The balcony is tiny. Difficult to reach by car, you can park in La Vie shopping mall.

The appartment is located in the heart of Funchal, within wlaking distance of all major attractions. The street is a pedestrian zone, no traffic noise, many restaurants.

On hot days, one needs to use the fan that comes with the room which was a bit difficult to handle.The head of the fan always tilted back beyond a certain angle and needs repair may be.

The place is very comfortable and should be preferred for its location at the heart of the city. I had booked several day tours with pick up and drop off included and the apartment was situated only 500m from the pick up points. There are also several restaurants and shops (groceries, souvenirs, medical) in the neighborhood making it very convenient. The room comes with washing machine and a drying rack which was useful for washing clothes when staying for more number of days. Bathroom and the kitchen were very clean and the bed was comfortable. A really good place to stay for tourists. :) Also the beach is at a 10 mins walking distance! :)

Pre arrival arrangements and help from Lisa made our first day work really well. The 2nd floor apartment was very clean, comfy and well equipped for a short stay. There was a pleasant balcony facing the street, the Rue da Carreira, which at that point is mainly cafes and restaurants and so noise from there was not a problem. The apartments location was good. In the 'old part' of town its just a few minutes to the squares, with shops and more restaurants and then the sea front and all of the buses.

Washing machine didn’t work nor wifi any good

Excellent location but would love a bathtub washing machine like the ones we make to improve the bathroom space @beeart.o but we make them with a bed top slat to save space for live-in pods. Just makes for a better shower with clothes easily washed at the bottom of the fit out

Perfect location. Flat has everything what you need. Parking is little bit difficult, but we have found 600m far parking place Santa Luzia for more than reasonable price.

Just a more comfortable sofa bed

The location is great! Lisa who oversees the apartment was very helpful. The sofa bed was not too comfortable but it was alright. Everything else was perfect. I would certainly recommend the apartment unless someone wants something luxurious. I liked the fact that it was also near the busses both local and long distance since we did not rent a car

we stayed in apartment 3, and loved the terrace. however, since the apartment is on a busy street, (not car traffic, just many restaurants and bars) there was a bit of noise in the night. it didn’t bother us particularly, but it’s something to consider. also, the bed was not very comfortable.

apartment is centrally located and close to all main Funchal attractions and bus stops. the price is also great. the host was very easy to contact and her response rate was very fast. the apartment has everything you need, including a washing machine.

Apt 1 is noisy as the bedroom's window is located in Rua da Carreira (several restaurants in this street). Suggestion to put double glass with better quality is already installed.

For apartment 2 the only issue was a bit the privacy in the sense that you could not leave the tends of the bedroom open because people living/working in the opposite building could see inside.

Apartment 2 was very silent and calm. Lisa was amazing.

the apartment is very well located in the center, being close to everything you need. the apartment needs repairs. it has tiles and there is a dark smell in the house, the whole bedroom is covered in wood to cover the stains. also opposite the building there are 2-3 restaurants that sometimes keep open late into the night and even with the windows closed you will still hear noise and you will not be able to sleep

The bed was not comfy at all, maybe it’s worth buying a mattress topper to make it a bit softer and also to cover the gap as the double bed was two singles pushed together. Also the smell from the drains in the bathroom was not pleasant but didn’t bother us that much as we spent our days mostly outside. And just a weird issue with the apartment keys which got stuck in the door, however, that was resolved very quickly with the help from the host and a waiter from the restaurant next to us.

Amazing location, great host who was easy to contact. Really good price!

Communication was sub optimal - text from manager would have worked better via Booking.com App. A bit mean with toilet rolls and pay extra for towels to be changed in less than a week. Our apartment was a little noisy early morning.

This apartment is on a pedestrian street in the centre of Funchal. Loads of restaurants within one minute. I recommend Xaraham pizzeria about 150m to the east. We had number 1 apartment which was overlooking the street. Good enough facilities re. fridge, kitchen, washing machine, etc. Major shopping centre within 2 minutes walk.
