The property was perfect other than the shower door has a leak which results in a very wet bathmat.

The apartment is in a superb location as it is close to attractions, restaurants and other amenities. Although it inhabits the city square, it was quiet. The apartment is bright, modern, fresh and well-maintained. It was presented in a very clean and tidy way. Our host, Filipa was professional, courteous, friendly and helpful.

Great location! The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and clean. The view is magical... The kitchen is just what you need (some complimentary olive oil can be nice), great shower and a/c. Good communication and we got local honey cookies and wonderful recommendations on restaurants. There's a lift! We also used the private taxi service they offer from the airport and it was great! Highly recommended!

The location was perfect and close to everything in Funchal. Alexandra was great at communicating and also gave us a ton of recommendations once we checked it. The view from our room was spectacular. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to visit!

The only small thing would be the need for more toiletries ie shower gel and shampoo.

Firstly the location right in the center of Funchal but also close to the marina. Secondly the light airy feel of the apartment with all the necessary equipment to make our stay enjoyable. Thirdly the friendly support from our host Fillipa who was on hand to support us during our weeks holiday.

The smell of the “Salted Caramel” diffuser in the building entrance was excessive and not pleasant - at least to our noses!

We had a great time at Apartmentos Praça Amarela. We particularly enjoyed: - the warm welcome by Alexandra - the high ceilings, beautiful floors, and tasteful furniture - the well appointed kitchen - the view on the pretty square - how quiet the apartment was - and of course the location in the heart of Funchal with the sea one block away, all bus terminals nearby, and so many good restaurants at our doorstep.

The apartment is very centrally located near the cathedral, shops and restaurants. It is well equipped, comfortable, clean and safe. It has a lift too. The staff are so kind and helpful - exceptional, in fact. Communication before and during our stay was quick and clear. I have no complaints at all and will definitely revisit.

I almost didn't want to make this review because I want to keep this place hidden!!! The apartment is simply FANTASTIC. Anyone who has ever visited Madeira knows that the accommodations tend to be quite dark and humid. NOT THIS PLACE. This place felt like the sun was just hanging in the living room at all times. Noise was super manageable - remember, you are in the heart of Funchal - and even though during the day the light comes in from all angles, during the evening you can close the shutters entirely to get a cozy atmosphere with the indirect light from within the apartment. We were promptly welcomed by Filipa who reached out to us as soon as we landed and waited for us to arrive. No picking up keys from code-lock boxes. A real person to explain everything about the apartment and to help us in case we needed anything. Filipa also gave us great food recommendations which I have to pass along here! A Mercearia dos Avôs was the most pleasant surprise of all! Authentic Italian cuisine 3 minutes away from the apartment. DON'T BOOK HERE SO I CAN COME BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE 😂 But if you want to have the time of your life in Funchal, please do choose this place.

They could maybe think of getting a washing machine as visitors to the island usually stay a few days at a time.
