Lovely room with amazing views

The gym didn't have aircon. We were travelling with someone in a wheel chair? Whilst there are accessible areas- it is limited to the foyer (pools and outside areas all have steps). The accessible room is also lacking supporting bars for the shower and toilet.

The rooms were decorated wonderfully with gorgeous views. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff were all a pleasure to speak with.

Limited parking spots in the hotel parking. We had a minor cleaning issue on our arrival day, but it was resolved within 15 minutes.

Astonishing view from the room. You can see the ocean and the mountains even from your bed. The staff were extremely helpful and very child-friendly. The breakfast was great. The indoor pool is a great bonus after a day of hiking.

Shower could have been a bit stronger, and the toilet was rather noisy when refilling, but that's about it

Very friendly reception and check-in. Welcome drinks. Good sized comfortable room. Nice fault maid service. Really good food at the restaurant. We ate in most of the time as it seemed to be the best around. Nice to have use of the steam room and sauna.

The tables outside were not arranged for breakfast, and although people chose to stay outside, no one cleaned the tables. In the mornings, most of them were sticky from the previous day.

Nice breakfast with fresh fruit and freshly made waffles and pancakes. Comfortable room and balcony. Attentive staff. Much better than the other Aqua Hotel from Moniz.

Nothing. If have to mention one, then, if the sound isolation could be improved a bit would be perfect. However, this was not a problem when we staying there.

What an amazing place. We had a lovely time relaxing and walking the island. Infinity pool I loved but cold🫶. The hotel is clean and brilliantly located with good space, fantastic sea view from our room👊. Very nice and friendly staff, each and everyone of them. Very helpful with lovely smiles 😃 Breakfast inclusive in our booking which is very kind of the hotel as we know some charge you additional fees for breakfast. 👍 We also love the daily cleaning of the room. 👏 Soft and lovely evening entertainment was great 👍 Thanks for our welcome bubble wine and our wee goodbye sweet jars. Definitely coming back and I will recommend 👌

This was literally the best hotel I’ve ever stayed. The staff and everything we’ve experienced was exquisite! This was more than value for money and the hospitality (daily chocolate pralines, water, champagne or homemade jam on the checkout) will not be forgotten. THANK YOU!

Perfect location for a getaway and as a base point to discover the island, especially the Western part, just an hours or so drive from the airport/Funchal. You need a car if you want to explore the island. Great view from the room (sunrises are fantastic), comfy beds, nice and modern facilities, inside pool with salt water and infinity pool on the roof, beautiful lounge on the roof to chill, tasty food and great presentation in the restaurants (both breakfast and dinner, we did not have lunch in the hotel). Many cool activities just a minutes walk away: lava pools, diving with sharks and rays in the aquarium, whale and dolphin watching tour. Very pleasant, helpful and friendly staff who made us feel comfortable and welcome from planning prior to our trip until we left. A special thanks for organizing one of the most beautiful flower bouquets ever for my wife's birthday. The people working in this hotel should be proud of themselves for the great job they are doing and the smiles they are putting on the guests faces. Thank you, we would love to come again.

If you are wanting to do city viewing/activities, this isn't the hotel to do it. It's about an hour from the main city and a taxi/Bolt will cost you about $100 one way so it would just be cheaper to get a rental car which will run you about $60 for the weekend.

The hotel was immaculate; we were greeted with a drink upon check-in which immediately made us feel at home. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room had a beautiful view of the ocean which made for beautiful sun rises. The food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The walk-ability of the area is amazing; there are nice restaurants all around and beautiful scenery every where you turn. The indoor pool was an absolute plus.

Perhaps at the upper end of the price range in Port Moniz.

Very attentive staff at check in, we had to leave early so were offered a picnic breakfast with gluten free options. We also checked in early so instead of a welcome drink we later found a bottle of moscato with two glasses in the room, a special touch that made us feel very welcome. Everything about the room was perfect, sea view with a little balcony, nice clean bathroom. The SPA facilities are also superb and the infinity pool on the roof a little gem (though freezing at the time). There is free entry to the new natural pools included in the rate, and the old ones are just in front of the hotel.

Found rooms a bit warm even in winter with the patio doors open and there is no air-conditioning. Reception did say that they have portable air-con units but unfortunately I asked for one after maintenance had left for the day and we were checking out the next day.

Great stay. Hotel is in a great location and staff went out of their way for guests.
