Noise outside - I like my window open. Swimming pool area too crowded sometimes.

Very modern hotel. Very clean. There was no view from my window, really, but I booked the room for the location, so it did not bother me. There was a noise outside day and night, but it was only a problem if the window was open. Great rooftop swimming pool. I would definitely book this hotel again.

We had to swap a pillow as it had black marks on it. The floor had bits on it which was noted when walking around barefoot. However, we were allowed to check in earlier than we expected, so maybe the room was turned around fast. Pump dispenser for shower gel (attached to wall) was loose and eventually dropped off after a couple of showers by myself and my friend also sharing the room. This was fixed promptly though.

Lovely hotel, great location. The terrace and pool are a nice place to spend an afternoon with a fab city view. The breakfast was fantastic!

Sometimes noise in the room in the evenings from the side streets restaurants, but I guess that’s the case with the central location of the hotel.

Excellent facilities and services, perfect location to explore the town and catch different buses to different attractions. Beautiful hotel, the room was spacious and very clean. Great toiletries, bath robes, slippers, even toothbrushes. Breakfast was perfectly varied, lots of choices and great coffee. The rooftop pool has excellent views of the old town and the marina.

Everything. The staff was so nice and accommodating. They reserved an outdoor table for breakfast because my father is high risk for covid and we try to be careful. They were very helpful. The room was huge and comfortable. It was very clean and centrally located as well.

AC was quite cold, and it seem that that thermostat doesn’t affect it. Of course we could turn it off but we did want some AC.

On apple maps it was still hard to find hotel and my husband had to drive around while I found the hotel and where to park. Once that was figured out everything was great. I think I would explain that a little more clear when making the reservation.

Room was very beautiful and comfortable. Loved the fluffy robes and beautiful pool and the fantastic breakfast. It was very easy to walk to the parking garage, cable car, shopping and all of the restaurants downtown.

Our room was located above a noisy bar on the street outside, which stayed open until 4am. We had earplugs in and the window was closed but it was so loud we couldn't sleep. Have stayed in this hotel in the past and enjoyed our stay then and didn't have a noise problem - I guess it's pot luck which room you are assigned, so just be wary you may be on the noisy street side of the hotel!

Location was great and the room was very clean with a comfortable bed. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Hotel staff polite and helpful.

We managed fine , our room was near the restaurants end , but if you are a light sleeper-Can be very noisy as it is in the centre of Funchal when bed room windows open, and even when windows closed -with bars and restaurants closing time and opening time , Bins being emptying ….

Modern hotel in the heart of Funchal , walking distance to the main centre of old town, harbour and gardens , in particular to our rum festival Great view from roof top bar of the harbour and Funchal hills and centre- even though the pool was on a small side . We did not mind … Very helpful staff at reception Excellent choices of breakfast and omelette station with a friendly chef The bed was the most comfortable one I have stayed in a hotel too

The gym was poor, but most likely people dont use gym in that location There was an issue with the parking but what can you do in the oldtown Also there was no balcony or view in the room I would say price/performance not the best otherwise the hotel is really good

There was a bar down the road that stayed open until 4am and was quite noisy. Also we found the piped music in the pool area irritating.

The helpful and friendly staff and the central location. Lovely breakfast in the morning. The rooftop pool area was really nice and an ideal place to relax after a mornings sightseeing.

Parking is offsite about 6 blocks away. More clarity is needed from staff about how to park at hotel to drop off luggage and where to eventually park. For example, provide address or name of ramp. Note, M-Th the ramp is not 24 hours so you cannot get your car out before 6 AM.

Location and quality of hotel. We had a king room that overlooked the back side of hotel. Although we had read that some quests experienced loud noises from outside the hotel that was not our experience. We had two great night sleeps on a weekend.

Very hard to find fault.

Breakfast quality was very good. The restaurant was also very good and the staff were excellent. Furthermore, the location in the Old Town centre was great for wandering as and where we fancied.

The conditioner provided in the shower was thin and watery and didn't really do anything for my hair

Breakfast was great, fresh egg station and a wide range of local + international options. Particularly recommend the bolo de caco garlic bread with an omelette! Staff were very helpful when I needed a document printing, taxis ordering, advice on sightseeing, etc.
