The place is gives off very Bali vibes, if very comfy, has great hosts, great breakfast and has some sustainable initiatives! The private room and the shared bathroom were just so beautiful - if you're looking to spend a quite weekend for a stroke of inspiration or looking to surf, hike def drop by! I would totally come back another time, without a doubt.

This place is the perfect retreat! From start to finish, Camilla and Augusto were welcoming and helpful with anything anyone needed. They have their own natural wine, which we got to try, and all the furniture is perfectly laid out to relax or work. There is good WiFi connection, if you are a digital nomad. The view from the terrace is so nice in the morning, and to watch the sun go down. Overall, a lovely peaceful stay and I will be coming back for sure :)

The most wonderful place. <3 Location is perfect for hiking along the coastline - it made my everyday morning run amazing. It is very clean and aesthetically beautiful. The hosts are also very nice and caring. The general vibe of the whole place is just wonderful. I will surely come back. Thank you.

The place is a bit noisy. You can hear other guests talking pretty loud pretty early in the morning. Missed the wine bar!

All was good

Location, decoration, cleanliness and house infrastructure is superb. I could see the ocean from my balcony. Augusto & Camilla were always there to help, very kind and friendly. Very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and sharing the bathroom was never a problem. Distance to the beach is 15 minutes and in front of the house there are some paths that take you to the beach, very nice for walking.

Proximity to road — it bothered me the first day, with cars constantly passing…but after 24 hrs I didn’t notice it.

The best value for the money out of all hostels I’ve stayed in (20+ around EU/Balkans). The boho/minimalist style is helpful for anyone looking to do some work during the day. Free coffee and tea 24/7, ample space for food, and good quality kitchen tools. Large lawn outside, with areas to lounge, work, or have a family dinner. Two showers for up to 10 ppl (if in dorms) 1 toilet — never was an issue during my stay. There is a separate space upstairs for private rooms with their own bathroom (looks super nice also). The hosts seem to always be available and eager to help. Walking distance to many beaches, and easy/free/safe parking in front of hostel or at adjacent street.

Only thing was that the property is next to the road and therefore the cars were audible throughout day and night.

Close to the beach, clean and beautiful facilities and host that goes above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable. Highly recommended.

My experience was fabulous, the hosts are incredible, always attentive, enthusiastic in helping you, and friendly, their energy is wonderful....The atmosphere of the house is very relaxed, with many details and different spaces, really a very peaceful place, The garden is very pretty, I loved the decoration, the rooms were bright, the kitchen always had everything in its place, I always felt at home... The location for me was perfect and I hope to return!

Amazing property. Location is perfect, and all instalations are super new, beautiful and clean. We stayed at a private room upstairs where there's two other private rooms and we all shared a bathroom. Everything was extremely clean and well kept. It's a super chill hostel and our bedroom was suuuper comfy and clean with great ocean views. The dorm was also in great condition even though we had our own private room.

When staying outside, I could feel that the route was quite noisy (but inside it's very well isolated, so you don't perceive it). The house is quite distant from the first supermarket and a washing machine, and the road is uphill, so without a car or a bicycle it might be a problem, unless you're a sporty person. As mentioned, there is no washing machine at the Ocean House and the one in the village is small, so you risk to arrive there and you've to wait for another one to finish, so if you have an appointment take it into consideration. And then the place is quite isolated, so while waiting for the washing machine to finish, you cannot spend your time in a nice place but you've to be there. That was quite annoying. I could be teleworking confortably from the cosy house, but instead I spent my time in the small and hot room of the washing machine. I would suggest to consider the idea of install one in the house. Another small issue regarded the changing room: there is not a proper place where you could change. The bathroom has two showers, but with the water it's a bit complicated. You may close the bathroom's door for the time needed to change, but then the others cannot enter and that's unfortunate too. You have just to adapt a bit, but if this could be improved, it would be great.

I loved Ocean House and its owners, Camilla and Augusto. It's like a co-living space for a few people, with good vibes and clear rules (so that everything is always neat and as clean as possible). The interior design is impeccable, chic and cosy (I perceived Camilla's Scandinavian touch). The shared bedroom is nice, wide and airy, confortable, with many supports where I could put my things. At the house, there is plenty of space, both inside and outside, with a garden with sofas and an hammock, a big table, where we were used to stay together while teleworking, chilling, having a chat, having lunch or dinner. Then there is a terrace, with another table, and inside still another table, with a TV set on a surf channel, which I adored. The house was cleaned daily, Augusto and Camilla were available for any need and for booking surf and yoga lessons, which I tried and found amazing. Flavor water, coffee and tea were always available. The kitchen is very practical and well equipped, easy to use. Everyone has her/his own place to arrange their things in the fridge or in the boxes with the number of the bed. The house is very close to the beach of Ribeira d'Ilhas, at a practical foot distance. As to the bathroom, it seemed to be small and with only one wc I thought it could be a problem, but indeed I've never experienced any issues of overlapping with the other guests. It was quite practical, with places to put my things. The pickup service from Ericeira, which I tried too, is very useful. Staying at the Ocean House has been a real experience: the people I met were super nice and respectful, we shared our lives, our passion for surf, there was a nice and relaxed atmosphere and Augusto and Camilla were amazing.

Loved this place! Super friendly and facilities finished to a high standard...would definitely recommend. The accommodation is a little further north than Ericiera centre, which is perfect for a quiet and chilled stay.

The location is very nice located near the beach and you have a great view from the balcony. The property is very well styled. Augusto and Camilla are super friendly. The whole stay was amazing and they give you a warm welcome. We will come back for sure!

The host/owner wasn't the most friendly as I'd hoped for - but still good enough. I felt rushed and he treated the place like a business even though he lives downstairs and it's a family run hostel. Just not the vibe I appreciate the most.

The property was gorgeous and I could see myself enjoying for multiple days. It was a quick stay so we couldn't really enjoy the most out of it. Cool wine bar and outdoor space for sure!

The house is a little sanctuary. I was travelling alone and I have met at the place so many nice and welcoming people. You can tell that everything is made with love to detail, it has a very harmonic energy and overall is a wonderful place to stay at. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space! Augusto is also very friendly and there if you need anything. I would love to come back :)
