I'm not sure if something really can be done about that - but there is a big humidity inside of the rooms if to sleep with the closed windows. So, when we were leaving the room - we were leaving the windows open. Also, if it is possible - would be nice to renew some staff in the common kitchen, like the microwave for example.

I really liked the view from the window, and the room was nice, neat, and clean. Actually, everything that we needed was inside the room, so I guess if you visit the island for travel and you won't spend too much time in the room - it is the perfect place to stay. :) Also the owners were very helpful when we needed to ask something.

Good value for money. We liked the place although we've never seen the owner and cars are passing by the window very early in the morning. Normally we were not interested in a communal kitchen but finally we were happy to have it. We had lunch at Vale Das Furnas to try famous Cozido português. Meal portions were terribly big for one person. Waiters are used to give their guests the take-away boxes. In the evening we could warm up the cozido leftovers. It was delicious. We couldn’t have done it in the hotel.

Being right at the street and ground floor you have no privacy and it's a bit noisy, with the windows open. Once you close the windows it's ok.They offer no toiletries, except toilet paper and it takes a while for the hot water to get to the shower. On the kitchen door is says"keep it closed" but if you do so there the chance you remain locked in as it doesn't work properly. The internet works pretty well- the signal is weak at times. There's no beach access - the closest beach is Praia d'Amoura and it's a steep hike down of over 15 mins. For the other 2 that show up on the map- the access was destroied- a local tried to explain but in portughese.

The property is very clean and you're ocean front and have full ocean view- we stayed in Santa Maria room which is on the ground floor and the bathroom is down the hall. It's close to a great restaurant: Scorpion Cafe and a supermarket where you can find some local products. 2 days into our stay they left us new towels. They were prompt in assisting us with the check-in.

They one left us one toilet paper for two people two nights. Teorically it has a kitchen but it doesn't work. The toaster didn't work either.

Some of the kitchen appliances should be renewed as some of them didn’t work (toaster, electric kitchen).

We made a reservation here after a last minute cancellation of the place we booked first and it was a good choice for our needs. It has a parking space just in front, it was not too busy and quiet, the room was spacious and with a nice back garden. It was located far from the main urban zone so it was very quiet. The price is just right for what it is offered especially compared with alternatives in the area

The room was far too humid and muggy to be comfortable. We ran the fan and had the window open at all times - which let in a ton of flies.

It was cheaper than other options and the wifi worked without any issues!

The room was quite old and very humid. We had some difficulties to open the door because the door is a little bit crooked. One the floor one parquet board was missing and it was covered by a rug. The common balcony was just outside our room and window, so we were able to hear everything from the other people outside and also even with the window closed the smell of the cigarettes was inside our room.

When we came in our room there was no bathroom. After calling, they told us it is in the hallway - you can't find this information here on the webpage. The offered toiletries were also nowhere, not even soap. The WiFi didn't work and couldn't be fixed after asking. And the house is very loud, you can here every step of the other guests.

1. NO INTERNET (there is no signal at all! No Wi-Fi , no cellular data available) 2. AWFUL SERVICE , if you need something, there is NOBODY available . 3. No toilet paper (bring your own because they offered two pieces for two people for 7 days and when we asked for extra they ignored us … Also the one piece was partially used) 4. No cleaning service, the place in total is neglected. 5. Lots of flybags everywhere ( there are no fly screens in windows). 6. So much NOISE! The fan is so loud that is impossible to sleep. Also the road in front is busy all the time, even during the night, so you can’t sleep without earplugs. They don’t respect the client. It’s better give your money somewhere better. In case you make a reservation there , be careful and ASK FOR THE ENTRANCE CODE and information in advance !

I had big problems with the manager (Ricardo?). He did not give me the room I had reserved, and gave us instead a room on the ground floor on the street side (cars pass by the window until late evening and very early in the morning). After a few phone calls he promised me to give me the correct room but he did not. We spent the first night in the wrong room. Luckily in the morning the cleaner woman (very nice) gave us another room on the first floor but still facing the noisy road, not the room I had payed for. In the various phone calls to the manager, calling his number, a woman answered me to whom I exposed my problem. The manager then called me back, and he was very rude, raised his voice, and asked me to shut up. This is inadmissible. He yelled at me that I shouldn't have talked about this problem with anyone other than him being the manager! I would have left, but there were no other rooms available on the island at the time.

The room is clean, the beds are comfortable, the bath is good. The kitchen is furnished. The position is good if you like to stay away from Ponta Delgada tourism, located in a more rural and nice area.

There is allmost no cellphone coverage in this location, so we hoped that at hotel is good WiFi signal, to make a plans for the next travel day. But no, in our room on second floor we had no WiFi at all. The host reads messages on whatsapp, but not answering.

The facilities and equipment of the house was either extremely poor or not existing at all. Some examples: In the kitchen out of the 4 small stoves only 1 operational. You can imagine 1 stove for 12 guest in the mornings and evenings. I have reported it but no solution whatsoever. Also these were so rusty I would be ashamed to present them in a homeless shelter. On the "garden" and terass there is nowhere to sit and there are no tables at all. All the chairs were broken outside and from the previous century. At the end we have built our own table to be able to sit around it...

Rooms were clean absolutely fine. The location was good in the middle of the island.

Everything was great!

Nice room, a lovely terrace and big backyard, spacious kitchen and nice common area. There is a lovely viewpoint only 50m away, where you can enjoy almost a private view of the ocean and the little island of Vila Franca do Campo in the distance. The host was super friendly and the communication and check-in process was easy. Recommended!
