I am probably in the minority but I didn’t like the app access door system. For me holidays don’t mean taking my phone everywhere and having to make sure you have charge to open doors.

Modern and extremely clean room. Nice sun terrace with plunge pool. Several restaurants near by and in other resorts a few miles away.

The apartment is well located in a beautiful area with several nice dining options nearby. It was spotlessly clean upon our arrival, and equipped with everything we needed. The host was welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend staying here.

The armchairs look good, but are not very comfortable for watching TV.

The owner is very nice, showed us all related to the apartment and give some advice for trip. The house is modern and we love the swimming pool. Bed was comfy, all clean.

Not the fault of the hotel, but not connected by bus so you need to drive or get bolts as the terrain is very very steep and not walkable, especially in the sunshine

The building is beautiful, the hpst was communicative and everything we were expecting was delivered. The rooms are extremely clean and lovely to be in. the kitchen had all the things we needed to cook and clean and the pool was absolutely lovely an beautiful, with beautiful surrounding views.

The apartment was very noisy and the entry was stressful and difficult. I didn't understand why sent me everything in portuguese. When we arrived we didn't have entry code and nothing information, my internet didn't work and we needed to ask help a local people. We wanted go for a walk after dinner, but this village not the best.

The house and the rooms are very unique and comfortable, the pool was very nice. Everything is absolutely clean. The bed was hard, we loved it and there were more pillows! We need car, but this place had parking place. If you like meat you have to try the nearest restaurant - Steakhouse. The Banana Museum was good program and the banana beer and rum is fine.

Great location for exploring the countryside. The pool was small but well kept and ideal to cool off in. There were three local restaurants all of which served good local meals.

No public transport. If you have not rented a car for your trip you are reliant on taxis because you are situated between two tunnels.

I loved everything about apartment, pool and games room. Very relaxing with some nice restaurants on your doorstep.

I was promised to get the access code of the front door before arrival, but when I arrived I had not received it. After a quick call the very friendly owner came to the apartment himself to help me out. You need to download an app and open the door with this app. For me not a problem, but I can imagine this could be challenging for older people or people who don’t have a smart phone. The door of the room has a different code you had to put in manually. The room only had a fridge. It would be nice to have at least a cup, a plate and some cutlery for a quick breakfast or a wine glass to be able to have a sundowner on the balcony. The fire alarm went off twice but was handled by the owner as well. On my departure day the lift wasn’t working so I had to drag my suitcase from the 2nd floor down while everyone was still asleep.

It was very clean and new. It had a great modern style. Location was perfect, close to restaurants and the beach. Free parking nearby.

The bed was hard and extremely uncomfortable. There is no sofa in the lounge area just 2 armchairs which are incredibly uncomfortable and not good to relax on at all. The bathroom has not been designed very well meaning every time you have a shower the room completely floods, even going into the corridor when you open the bathroom door as there is no raised platform or good drainage to stop this happening. As above, this property is quite misleading in its description as it is not in Ponta De Sol, it is on the very outskirts meaning a car is needed to get anywhere, this should be made clear in the property description.

The pool area is very nice and relaxing. The location next to the beach and lovely beachside cafes is good, there is also an excellent banana museum across from the property which I strongly recommend you go to, it was interactive and very informative and the cafe is amazing. We had a lovely patio and the kitchen was stocked with all you might need. Be warned though that this property is not in the centre of Ponta de Sol, it is on the outskirts. You will need to drive to the centre, it's about 5 minutes away. You could walk but it means going through a long tunnel.

A few things were a little strange. Never leave your phone when leaving the house, because you use it to open the lock, I made a mistake on my last day and needed some quick thinking to solve it. The owner or the Blue House employee once walked in the room to give some equipment, while I was there, which was a bit strange but of course they know the code;) My balcony had a small window up in the wall which I understand was the window of my neighbour's restroom. A little noisy in the morning with the dogs barking. However, these small things do not hurt the overall, really nice feeling of staying in Blue House.

The location is perfect to travel around Madeira with a car (I liked the north and the west much more than the east and Funchal's surroundings). Going western of Ponta do Sol, the traffic is very light compared to Ponta do Sol and towards Funchal. In general, no issue with parking. The pool is great to cool off after a day spent hiking. The room was spacious, really enjoyed how much space I had, had some breakfasts in the balcony when it wasn't too cold. In general the room was really clean.

The main issue with staying there was huge stench of fried steaks and other meats. While it is not Blue House's fault, it still greatly impacts the quality of the stay here... Another issue I can point is shower cabin that is semi-open and very shallow which makes is almost impossible not to flood a bathroom a little every time you take a shower.

The apartament was great! Perfect for both relax and working from there. The water in pool was always warn, even at night, and the room was well equipped (for 2 people). The location is okay, but renting a car is a must if you plan to see the island from there.
