Having read the reviews, I knew what to expect so wasn’t necessarily disappointed by anything. One thing I will add is that although I selected the option to, and thought I did, pay in advance on booking.com. Turns out booking.com doesn’t take your payment and you’re required to pay on arrival in CASH!! We did not have any cash on us and reception was understanding and pointing us in the direction of an ATM but was happy for us to check in and drop everything in our room before running to the atm.

Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff. You do get what you pay for, so of course it’s not amazing, but it’s exactly what we needed and within our budget.

Everything with this hostel was over expectation. Don’t get why they only have 7,4 in reviews. Clean, super cozy and nice, the best rooftop terrace in town, a cozy inner garden, free coffee, clean and nice rooms, and amazing location in the middle of the old town.

Expecting cheap and cheerful and this is mostly what I got. It is unreasonable to have high expectations for such low cost and given the type of accommodation. However, regardless of price, it is reasonable to expect a certain level of security and privacy. The door handle was so loose it came off several times and meant that the door opened when someone passed and there were holes on the door panel that were stuffed with tissue to prevent others being able to see in.

The facilities didn't meet the expectations. There was no hairdryer and TV lounge area. There wasn't never enough cutlery/plates or even a sink to do any washing up. The kitchen was just very poor. You can't cook anything. The fan was broken. Pillows were terrible. Broken bedroom door. Just a very outdated place.

Besides the location the accommodation was terrible, very small rooms, terribly uncomfortable beds and pillows, whenever you ran the water with the sink in your room it smelt like sewage.

Honestly, nothing. Everything was really good.

Even though it’s not a four-star hotel, it’s a really cozy place and the staff was super nice to us. I just loved it. Also the location is outstanding.

Nothing,look like i said it's old building and things could be upgraded but i would rather stay here and pay less .

Great value for money.right in the center of the town.i never heard a sound all night and all morning,it's really quiet.ok it's not the Hilton but i can't afford the Hilton,it's an old building but it's got charm and character .yes it could do with s big refurbishment but then the prices would be higher.if you want a cheap and cheerful place to stay this is the place.i paid only 25 euros for a private room just for me.excellent value..i had my own sink .there are lots of bathrooms on the various floors..

I loved my room. I had a sink, nightstand and bed in my room, shared bathroom. The location was amazing: right in the centre of Lagos. Everything you could need nearby. Clean. Very nice staff and guests in the hotel.

The room I initially was checked into I simply couldn't stay in. I would've left and stayed somewhere else regardless of wether I got a refund or not. luckily I was moved into a better room- balcony over looking the street. Even then, its not a very nice or clean place. The first room was moldy and had an old smell. Second room was a tad bit better but not really.
