There was quite some activity, as the fire season was starting, so strimmers were around us on the first day. The second evening a neighbour felt the need to run circles around hid house on a quad for 1.5 hrs. The third day there were labourers removing part of the roof of the room next to us.

We got a free upgrade into a bedroom with bathroom and a big terrace. The view was good onto the valley. The ceiling is high and the room spaceous, with heating and cooling, tv etc. The kitchen has a really big fridge and washing machine, dishwasher etc.

If you're looking for a quite place surrounded by nature this is definitely a good place to stay. I had a very good staying in this little village with nice sightseen if you go for a walk.

there was this recurring repeated knocking sound that penetrated my room. every 10-20 minutes for like 30 seconds. something between an old washing machine and a future blacksmith. (but it wasn't the washing machine). could find the source the host wasn't around so i could say anything. i was tired enough from the days that it wouldn't keep me awake much, but it was definitely a nuisance, and i hope it gets treated somehow.

the room was great. shared kitchen was great. nice balcony. Great location, only a few minutes walk from the river beach. shared bathroom was a bit compact but all in all ok.

For us, nothing felt out of place or was particularly annoying, but as an old house, it's only natural that there are some noises and wearing marks in some places. Not a problem for us, though.

The house was really well decorated, and everything was very clean. The host was very kind, and even left us recently made soup so we could dinner. The whole property was also lovely. For the price, it was a bargain.

Shower has to be handheld as the wall fixing is useless. Why do people fix these things when it points the shower spray at the ceiling?

Air conditioned, en suite, large double bedroom in an old Portuguese house. Very comfortable bed. Lots of dark wooden furniture. We'll stocked kitchen. Warm shower.

Clean, comfortable and in a great location for our needs. The room with a double and two single beds was perfect for our family/friends party and we were offered extra bedding for the cold nights, although once we were in, it wasn't needed. There was a well-equipped kitchen for cooking, with oils and condiments available for use. Everything was clean. There was a lovely terrace off the kitchen with views over Vila Nova do Ceira, and we were walking distance to the river beach. The TV didn't work, but we weren't bothered by that and we were out-of-season so maybe that was the reason. Regardless, it's basic accommodation but good value for money and a great location.

We stayed for 3 nights. We had a room with private bathroom. We liked it a lot. Clean space and all needed furnitures. We used kitchen a lot which has all needed elements to cook - fridge, oven, stove, plates, cups etc. There is a very nice, relaxing view from the big balcony you have at your disposal and entire area is very quiet and friendly. There is also a small living room with huge tv and sofas you can use. You can park your car in front of the building but it is advised to park very close to the wall as the road is quite narrow. Bigger shop is couple of kilometers away so it is worth buing groceries upfront. We recommend this place for short and longer stay!

Small double beds and needed better pillows. Apart from this we did not have any other issues.

Very quiet village location. We were a group of 8 cyclists and the house provided everything we needed. Rooms are dated but perfectly acceptable and full of character. Only a snack bar in the village so take your own food or drive to Gois for a full meal. Lovely river beach to take a dip after your long ride was a great bonus.

The lady who runs it is so lovely. She upgraded my room to a better one just because it was available the night I was there. There was a secure place to lock up my bicycle. The kitchen had everything you need and the room was clean and comfortable. Best value for money I've ever encountered.
