We liked everything about our stay here. The hosts were delightful and helped me solve a problem with a missing key for my motorbike. Very friendly and helpful. Thr house is decorated and furnished to a high standard. The owners have invested wisely and the end result is a fantastic house that I'd be very happy to call my home. The location is in a traditional Portuguese village about 10 minutes from Bragança. The views from the bedroom balcony are outstanding. Great beds and Pillows. Good shower. Good WiFi. Great value for money. One of the best properties we've stayed in. We will return for sure.

There is not much to complain, but my issue with perfumed detergents again. We however brought our own sheets, so no issue there. It's small, a bit dark maybe, but it's an old mountain-village house (over 400 years old it seems) so that is to be expected. We chose this property because on 1 picture there was an old red sofa which looked very gaudy and period, but it was replaced by a modern one heheh. That's all my complaints !

The hosts are exceptionally friendly, the house has all modern comforts. Typical mountain village, and house. Nice roads and Braganca is close enough with the car to get groceries from the supermarket. Very quiet, and the few people in the village are very open and friendly. The owner even spoke our language which was amazing. It'll be a place we will visit again when in the neighbourhood.

Writing a review for this place makes one soon run out of superlatives. Everything nice people say in the reviews is an understatement. First of all, Alice is super attentive, helpful, and responsive. The home is spotless, better equipped than my own home, nicely decorated, with vitrage lamp shades and historical items adorning the walls. The first place in Portugal where they had a Moka cafetera, the first good coffee in a month! The washing machine, the additional heating in bathroom. The location is beautiful, a small eerie village, where you meet more cats than neighbours. On the fringe of Montesinho national park, it is a great starting point to explore the little villages as well as the landscapes.

A couple of minor quibbles. Parking was bit difficult in the yard fronting the house which sloped downwards quite steeply There could be an area for sitting out in the front yard. ( perhaps a bench to sit on to enjoy the lovely weather)

The setting was wonderful with a view from the little bedroom balcony of the rolling woodlands and distant hills. it was exceptionally peaceful with only bird and animal noises to be heard at night time. The kitchen had every conceivable item of equipment. It was about a twenty minute drive to the elegant and bustling town of Braganza with its bars and restaurants

    nothing!

The owner was very nice. The house is a typical Portuguese stone house, with a lot of old style objects shown on the walls and wells as around; the house has everything you would need, cutlery, plates, everything was super clean. Mattresses very comfy. If want to visit Braganca or just have a night stop, that is the place where to go. We will certainly go back

Beautiful, authentic stone home adorned with pieces that took you back in time. Clean, spacious, well equipped & Antonia was lovely to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay in this tiny village.

The stove lets smoke into the house.

The best quiet place ever. Built of stone, this 400-year-old house is a great example of Portugal culture. Lovely house and village. We will get back there again.

    Nothing!

How surprisingly cool the inside was. It has everything you could possibly need and then some. I was told the structure is between 400-500 years old, which made it even more interesting.

There is an electrical problem with the oven. whenever we tried to use it all the fuses blew. It wasn’t as close to the walks in the Montesinho park as we thought it was.

It was lovely to be in a rural village house with a proper kitchen & dining space. Alice has decorated it with many historical artefacts. A lovely place to be quiet.
