We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

IsraelReally great hotel: excellent staff, from reception, the restaurant, the cleaning staff - all went out of their way to give great service and it felt like they really meant it. Room was beautiful, restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner. Location is enchanting. beautiful village, great things to do in the area and very relaxing. All of the details were there - just an awesome place! Hotel deserves it's 5 stars and more, hope we have the opportunity to return!

United StatesWe love this hotel and will continue to stay here when traveling to Amarante. The location is ideal, so close to everything, but it is very quiet and serene. We brought a friend with us and she was equally impressed. Both rooms were large, with a beautiful view of the patio below and the river. I understand they are closing to remodel after the first of the year, which is good. The carpets could use an update, but I hope they don't change too much as we love the elegance and warmth of this hotel!

United StatesThe Hotel should be able to provide a better and complete advice on tours on the region, wineries,etc.They should be more trained and knowledgable on this respect.Not easy to get a honest advice on where to visit and how from third parties or tour organizations.Althought rooms ar very nice ,bathrooms look a bit outdated
The 1 star Michelin Restaurant is amazing with a very professional and friendly staff.Congrats!.We got a very nice room with a beautiful view of the old town.Breakfast was perfect.Facilities are nice and worth to be a Relais and Chateaux

The property and its grounds are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and large. We were very impressed by the breakfast offerings and the overall charm of the hotel. We decided to stay an additional night and although our room was booked, they moved us to another room which was almost identical and honored our original price. The service they provide (Margarita, who I believe is the manager, and Sonia at the pool bar) exceeds expectations and we will be back!

United StatesThis is a beautiful hotel on a beautiful property in a lovely town in the Douro valley. The staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. We had both a sumptuous dinner and a delicious breakfast. In the morning we had a nice walk around the grounds, and had it not been drizzling, we would have enjoyed the tranquil swimming pool that is set in the hotel's vineyard. Great stay.

United Stateswe liked everything about the hotel. As for dinner, our experience was disappointing. It was my husband’s first Michelin experience. Due to his shellfish allergies the two main menu options were not possible. After discussing the allergy issue with the staff we opted for ala carte items with their assurance there were no risks. At 12 am my husband experienced significant GI issues lasting almost two hours. It was a very unfortunate 1st experience and a sad outcome for what should have been a great dining event. The next day we had to rest all day.

IsraelThe stay here was a last minute change in plans. We took a room with a view of the old city. It was fantastic. The staff made you feel so welcomed and that you are the center of their care. We went to the pool since it was 36 degrees outside, and it was just as great. We didn't pan on even coming to Amarante, but it turned out to be a great decision in all aspects.

We booked a room with a large balcony, with French doors, overlooking the river, cathedral and bridge. Lovely. Good breakfast. Serviceable staff.
