We struggled a bit with the humidity in the house that it is created at night, even with the AC on.

The apartment is very spacious and has a lot of light. The bed was very comfortable. The sleep was very good, very quiet. AC and dehumidifier are available. Towels for thermal bath are also in the room. Breakfast was very good, with home made marmalade, delicious cheese, different kind of breads, fresh and toasted, different fruits, all served at the table in the main house. Fatima explained what she offers with passion and cares about anything you need. The gardens surrounding the house are very nice.

Absolutely everything is great. Fatima is the nicest person, the house and the room are super spacious, super clean and it's very peaceful and quiet. Also great views from the house! Breakfast is super yummy with a lot of things from the island. I already miss it. I would give a 11/10 for this

Our stay at the guesthouse was absolutely delightful. From the exceptional hospitality of the hostess to the magnificent breakfast made from fresh local produce, particularly the homemade dishes by Fatima herself, every aspect exceeded our expectations. Our child even likened the experience to that of a five-star hotel, only much cozier. When we return to San Miguel, we will definitely choose to stay here again. Additionally, the location was charming, and easily accessible by car.

This place was lovely - on arrival the view from the car park of the gardens and the hills beyond was just fabulous! Having breakfast prepared for us was a treat and the apartment was very good for a family of three. We really enjoyed it and would stay here again. In the town we liked the beach area and the small manmade swimming pool alongside.

Everything was great! Fatima is a lovely woman. She made your stay even better. The room was great, large, and clean. The view was perfect including the balcony. The breakfast is really good with local food included. We loved to come back to this place after having a hike!

The only thing that could be improved would be the shower head. Its a bit lose and fell down on us couple times.

Very friendly host who really cares about her guests. Providing local knowledge and local produce for breakfast which was very appreciated. We really liked the home made jams, local bread and cheese selections. It was very quiet and peaceful up there in the village. Private parking was convenient. Also for our baby, everything we needed was provided.

we had a room facing the street, without a view of the garden, where there was terrible noise, especially at night. the room was quite damp and not ventilated. there are no restaurants around.

Fatima and staff were so outstanding in her hospitality. attention to every detail, including laundry service, daily room cleaning, free ample parking, and a fantastic breakfast, with every local item described. Bouquets of herbs in our room and comfortable bed. Fatima helped with our day to day plans and was very interesting during our chats about Portuguese history, culture and landscapes. this was her childhood home which was converted to a bnb with love. She generously offered the use of the kitchen and living room which was spotless. there were no restaurants within walking distance but ole the of good options down the hill in Povocao. don’t miss the beautiful waterfall on the way to town.

This place was so cozy. The interior was beautiful including details showing the host really puts their heart into it. We could use the beautiful kitchen on our own as well. The town is surrounded by beautiful nature and the view out the window, even though facing the street, was magnificent. I'll never forget the sounds of the birds and colors in the sky in the sunrise. Really calming. We had a heated towel rack in the bathroom which came really handy because we visited in the low season and the whole island is so humid that it's impossible to air-dry clothes otherwise. :D The breakfast was also very rich and the owner was a true friendly gem. We loved it there!

Fátima was an exceptional host and went out of her way to make us and all the other guests feel at home. The room was beautiful and decorated with sprigs of fresh rosemary from the garden which smelled delightful. We even got given coloured towels to use to visit the thermal pools nearby. Breakfast was also amazing, with a great selection of different regional foods every morning - including cheeses, sweet bread, ham, fruits, and different cakes - each of which came with it's own story from Fátima. We could not have hoped for a better place to stay during out travels, thank you so much for everything!

Kindest host and most delicious and complete breakfast in all my trip to Azores! Nice apartment (‘with Mountain views’), great garden area and quite location. The experience of being hosted by Fátima at Casa da Cisaltina (3 nights) compensates by far the few km extra from Furnas. Also a few good options to eat at Provoacão, which open even later than in Furnas. Muito obrigada again, Fátima! :)

An adorable B&B with a large garden and mountain views - Fatima is passionate about her home town and island, and her energy is contagious. She was great to talk with about the island, things to do, and hearing her stories about her mother and why they started Casa de Cisaltina was really nice. The rooms were really comfortable, the house welcoming, easy parking, access to the key attractions in the area of Furnas and more. The breakfast was amazing! The owner is incredibly nice, and she prepares an amazing local breakfast, and explaining all the food. Even when our stove broke, she solved the problem immediately. Besides this, very nice rooms and the garden is beautiful! We would deffinitely come back here!
