We had a fabulous stay at Villa Eira. We were particularly impressed with the friendly welcome we received from Fatima and Rudolph, who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. We were grateful for the guidance given on bike hire, restaurants, walks and yoga.

Our stay at the "Vila da Eira" was simply fantastic! This hotel is a true gem - with its charming ambiance and relaxed atmosphere, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. They provided us with great tips for activities in the area and made sure we felt completely at ease. Their warm hospitality made our stay truly unforgettable. The check-in process was extremely straightforward, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the hotel was spotlessly clean, which was very impressive. The location of "Vila da Eira" is simply perfect - centrally located and just a short walk from the beach. We loved being in such a beautiful area while still having everything within reach. Overall, our stay at "Vila da Eira" was simply dreamy. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit!

Breakfast too late for hikers who want to start early, but the receptionist gave us some suggestions where to eat and there is also a nice pasteleria in town

Favourite stay whilst walking Rota Vicentina. Really helpful and friendly reception staff. Hotel was beautifully decorated and breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable in a quiet area.

The room was very small, not unusual here, but very few places to put anything- when we are here hiking for 3 weeks its a but tricky. Also had a nice little balcony. Our room was on the road so just a bit noisy in the AM on a weekday but not bad, very quiet at night, and there were many rooms on the courtyard so ask for those if concerned.

The host Rudolf was fabulous-- exceptionally helpful and friendly! It was v clean and charming, with a outdoor pool in a lovely courtyard. Mini fridge was stocked- nice to gave a beer right there after 13 miles challenging walking! Breakfast room was charming and we really enjoyed the full Bfast--Rudolph even got hold of gluten-free bread for me which is the first time in Portugal! Second morning just had coffee and bread and it was also delicious. A lovely spot if you don't need a larger room - although we inly saw ours!

It's a minor issue but the bathroom mirror was not very functional. The room was very cosy so we had only just enough room for two carry on suitcases.

Very warm welcome with excellent suggestions for drinks and dinner. Also Rudolf gave us a suggested itinerary for our next days drive, which we followed and it was marvellous. Breakfast was very good. Bed was comfy. Excellent shower. The little deck off the room was nice.

Everything was perfect

I was walking the fishermen’s trail in March 2024 and Rudolph was endlessly helpful and full of travel tips and restaurant recommendations and friendly and engaged with my travels. Even beyond my stay to the next towns on the trail. The Villa Itself was spotless, luxurious and comfortable and breakfast was generous and excellent, what’s not to like?

We were made to feel very welcome and the host went out of his way to help, including dinner recommendations and tips for the next section of our hike. They even sent us a recommendation once we had departed for our next stop! Very comfortable rooms, great breakfast. Overall a very relaxing stay after a long day of walking!

Rudolf and Fatima were very helpful. My wife has a twisted ankle hiking. Rudolf went to buy compression socks for her while Fatima prepare 2 ice packs. They are the nicest hotel staff I met throughout the hike. And the property is very nice. Breakfast was great too.

First night bathroom smelled a bit funky, but this improved the second night so may have been only a transient plumbing issue. Breakfast not included and at €15pp a bit steep when coffee shops nearby

Fatima very welcoming and helpful as were the emailed suggestions from Rudolf prior to our arrival. We were in an upper room suite with a tangential River/ocean view with a large well equipped kitchen plus a sitting area with a balcony. Top floor views for sunsets.
