We didn’t realize our room (with bunk beds) would be in the basement level. It was a musty. Opening the windows helped though.

Dinner options in the immediate vicinity were limited but it is an easy Uber ride into the local town.

I would highly recommend staying here while walking the Camino. The property has been beautifully restored. The shower was lovely and hot and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The chocolate tart was amazing! We had such a warm welcome and the owner went out of her way to make everything easy.

Perfect! Of all my stays along the Portugal Coastal route Casa Da Varanda was my favorite. It's a beautiful place and my room was excellent ... clean and comfortable... well appointed. Most impressive was the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to share experiences in a warm and sincere manner.

Pillows were hard but that’s personal choice

This villa was right on the Camino trail and was very comfortable. Host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, particularly the omelettes. Coffee was good.

Our stay was near perfect!

You will need a car! There is secure parking. The setting- large ceiling, chandeliers, large, living area, large breakfast area, great communications. The sea view and the casa decor is impeccable. The style in each individual bedroom is elegant. The Beds are comfortable. The linens are perfect and crisp. The Terrace is surrounded by Grapevines. The place is actually of a romantic movie scene. And yes, there are pilgrims walking the Camino. The owner has great hospitality skills. She has lovely and helpful in every way.

There was a lot of moisture in the room with water droplets running down the window panes in the morning. The bathroom that is in the corridor but that belongs to the room had no ventilation whatsoever and was therefore also incredibly moist. That said, I stayed in March, directly after a few days of heavy rain, and after what apparently had been an unusually rainy winter. I'm sure the room will be just fine in the drier parts of the year but I'm not sure about the bathroom since there is no fan there. Note: Isabel has two dehumidifiers already and I am sure she will do what is possible in order to improve the situation. The place opened in August 2023 so it's fair that it still has some "kinks" to iron out. It's fantastic otherwise!

Absolutely loved so much about it! It's rrrrright on the Camino, the whole building is beautifully refurbished and neatly decorated, and Isabel, the hostess, is incredibly generous and absolutely lovely.

Beautiful house, the kindest of hosts - we requested an early check-in as one person in our party had been unwell from previous stop. Isabel responded with compassion and care. Thank you very much! Living room was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice.
