Could do with a sign on the main road as a little hard to find the first time

The accommodation was to a high standard nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was outstanding set us up for the day. They gave us helpful advice on where to go and best way to get there. Would highly recommend Casa de Valcova.

There was nothing to dislike. It is perfect for those wanting a relaxing break away from high tourist traffic immersed in true Portuguese culture. A car hire may have been a practical choice based on location.

The property was a stunning complex of traditionally renovated buildings including its own church . It was clean and beautifully maintained. The room leading out to a private roof top terrace was exquisite.

The country side is amazing, the owners were brilliant, very helpful and generous. Several acres of blueberries, and they gave us a big carton of them when we left, nothing was to much trouble😀

Our trip to Portugal included a stay at Casa de Valcova. The owners Illidio and Asuncion have been the best hosts we have ever encountered in all our European trips. Their warmth and friendliness always made us feel at home. Their restoration of a 300 year old stone farm house was outstanding! The decor with antiques and modern facilities is a great combination. Breakfast with homemade marmalade and fresh baked pastries was delicious. We can't wait to go back!!!

the most amazing place! The owners are the best! Breakfast is GREAT! they cultivate blueberries next to the house, and you can try them in the breakfast. Swimming pool is super nice They have a small chapel inside. i hope to see you again and enjoy your lovely hotel soon!

Place with soul, very hospitable hosting. We came by mororcycles during the night- it was not problem . Amazing breakfast , very comfortable bed with very nice linen . We want to go back there sometime. 💗

Great place for a vacation. We stayed here during our roadtrip in Spain and Portugal. Amazing location close to nature, with a good pool and surrounded by farms. The hosts (owners) and the rest staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner had many stories to tell us about the place. They also left us with a special gift - Blueberry Marmelade from the fresh berries from their farm. Porto is 30-40 mins away by car.

The welcoming and stay was phenomenal. Owner Ilidio explained with passion how he renovated his Casa to perfection and was proud of his exotic fruits growing in the garden. In addition, the breakfast was great with fresh fruit, blueberries from his garden, fresh orange juice, delicious bread and local delicacies. The location is great and a short distance from Porto and the Porto houses in Villa Nova de Gaia. Not to forget the service and dedication of Liliana and Assuncaõ. The pool and sunbeds provided a wonderful coolness during our stay in a very hot period.

You sure need a hired car to transport you around

The host is a fantastic individual, exceptionally great. He's a very good host, even when we don't have means of getting to B from A, he's always there to take us round without charging. Bolaji & Kiishi
