This may be the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in. The house was the home of a famous Portuguese architect and it has been restored/finished to almost an work of art status in my opinion. Daniella, the manager, is extremely knowledgable of the nuances and history of the property. She is exceedingly professional, and, of course, friendly and helpful. The location is superb, within walking distance of restaurants and the marina area, and on a main line of public transportation as well. The room, and the property were amazing. In Porto, it will be a highlight of your trip to stay at the Architect's House.

The breakfast was fantastic and very generous. The breakfast room was nicely appointed and the staff friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms had very high ceilings and the bathroom was spacious all in all beautiful. The location is conveniently close to the old town of Porto making walking a great way to get around.

Fantastic accommodation close to the centre of Porto and the major sights. Lovely welcome from Daniela who gave us a lot of recommendations on what to do and where to go. The room was very big and comfortable with a very that's breakfast. Cannot recommend enough.

Beautiful place, very clean, and very welcoming staff. From the start they were informative and helpful with providing us information for our check in process. We are not sure why but we were upgraded to another room which we appreciated it:) But we are mostly thankful for Daniela’s excellent customer service. For going out of her way to try helping us translate in order to get information of the location of our bags with the bus company we arrived. Thank you, Thank you for everything.

Nothing could have been improved. Ok, it would be nicer to see the street from our window to see the beautiful old trams passing by… The lift could’ve been a little quicker, but it really was not an issue.

The hotel was a short walk from the restaurants and bars. Close enough to easily walk but just far enough away to not be annoyed by nighttime noise. The bedroom was very big and the bathroom a decent size. Just as described, it had recently been renovated beautifully and was immaculately clean. The manager, Daniela, was friendly, professional and super helpful, ordering us taxis and advising us on good restaurants to visit. The breakfast was of a high quality, both the cooked breakfast and the fresh breads and pastries were gorgeous. This hotel was so much more personal and high quality than an international chain hotel. We would both stay again and recommend it.

I don't think the question is correct. There was not anything I didn't like. However, I always think it would be nice if there were more coffee pods and some milk in rooms that have Nespresso machines. I think it is a nice addition to a room but maybe hoteliers could make more of it for us coffee lovers

The location, cleanliness, quality of the shower were all excellent. Our host was also very helpful and accommodating. She made our short trip extremely pleasant.

We had a great stay from start to finish! Annoyingly our TV didn't connect to wifi so we didn't have access to Netflix / other English channels, but this didn't bother us as we wouldn't normally watch TV on holiday anyway. The host was helpful and tried to help but as it was the weekend, they needed to wait until Monday before an engineer was available.

Breakfast was delicious. You get a basket of bread rolls and pastries, with butter, jam and Nutella, cheese and charcuterie, yoghurt, cereal, fruit, tea/coffee, and a selection of cooked breakfast options / açai bowl on top which was made to order.

The hotel is very tastefully decorated in keeping with the building. Daniella arranged a collection from the airport for me. I felt very safe and comfortable as a first time solo traveller. The shower was amazing. the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was abundant. An early check in was very helpful. Location is very good - you can easily walk to the sights within 10/15 mins. The tram stops right outside and bolt cars are cheap.and reliable if the hills feel daunting. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend 👌

The only negative is that due to our busy schedule, we only stayed 1 night!

Daniela, the manager was incredible. She explained the history of the house, it’s rehabilitation, the author of the house - architect Souto Moura and the link to the Pritzker prize in architecture. The location of the property was excellent and spotlessly clean. Never having been to Porto, Daniela explained all about the city and planned out an itinerary for us. Thank you so much.

Amazing townhouse! Really impressed by what has been created here by architects Souto Moura & Siza Vieira. It’s a place where architecture and decor are hand in hand, making the space very unique. Full of details. Really big & comfortable rooms. Ideal location for discovering the city and amazing breakfast. We will return for sure!
