Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalI loved everything! My stay could not have been better.
The house and its surroundings are the perfect place for relaxation and contemplation. It's ideal for retiring after a day in the national park or reading by the fire on a rainy day. There are comfy spots all over the house and grounds to hang out and enjoy. The breakfast was delicious and healthy. I didn't want to leave.

PortugalEverything is perfect.
Casa do Eido is a small bite of paradise on earth. A luscious, well tended garden surrounds the property - it’s wild and wisely cared for, and if you stroll around it you can find beautiful flowers, wild strawberries and pretty plants. A marvelous “espigueiro” towers near the pool and an ancient fountain. The house is absolutely stunning, full of cozy nooks to rest and feel at leisure. Beautiful books and white linens, curated details and prime quality materials. It’s an effortlessly looking architectural marvel. The host and her team are a charm, with their precious little details like freshly baked cakes every day, and a splurge of a breakfast with everything from yogurt, to local bread and cheeses, seasonal fruits and fresh eggs. Homesteading with a touch of artsy spirit. Everything was perfect, from the powerful shower to the beautiful bed lines. From the honesty bar with kombuchas and waters till the tranquility and calmness all over. A place to recommend to our best friends and to dream of, for coming back soon.

PortugalI was a little surprised that I was charged €30/day for our puppy. It seemed a bit steep to me, but the cost would not prevent us from coming again.
Ana's place is just gorgeous. So peaceful and comfortable. All sorts of little nooks and crannies where you can find privacy (loved the corn storage house!) My husband and I brought our family here who are visiting and their room was very comfortable as well. Breakfast is not to be missed!

United StatesNothing we didn’t like! The location is a bit secluded but that’s part of the charm and there are a handful of restaurants within 10 minute drive from the Casa.
The Casa is wonderful! The house is beautiful, peaceful and inviting with so many secluded spaces to sit and rest and enjoy the peace and quiet. Our room was spacious and really comfortable and every area of the house is clean and well kept. Ana is a wonderful host. She went out of her way to ensure we had a great stay and had everything we need. Would recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the Geres area!

United StatesIt is not as close to some things in Geres - so it’s a bit more driving but not much. And honestly I didn’t like the look of other places closer in the park as much, and cada do Eido was so incredible I think it’s totally worth the extra 15-20 minutes.
This is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. Rosa, her sister, and everyone who worked here were all so kind and have taken such good care to create a homey and relaxing space that felt truly magical. The breakfast was incredible (so many homemade jams and cakes!), the nooks all around to hang out in the house were cozy, the pool area was lovely, the house itself has a old authentic vibe but is updated with everything you’d need (like AC and updated bathrooms). I paid for dinners and they were delicious. Super comfy room. They also have a cat who just had kittens and as a cat person I loved that - they were so fun to play with in the gardens. Honestly it felt like a little fairytale! Thank you!

FinlandOne of the nicest if not the nicest hotel I've ever been. Perfect place to relax and have some time off. We stayed only 3 nights and spent the days exploring the mountains. But I could've seen myself relaxing by the pool reading a book for days. Everything was nicely renovated and clean. Beautiful garden and fresh flowers in the room. Excellent breakfast with scrambled eggs and coffee served to the table. Room had good A/C. Location was good. Nice drives to everywhere in Gerês.

PortugalOne of the most wonderful places I’ve ever stayed at. From the delicious breakfasts (with vegan options), perfect location for restaurants, waterfalls, trails and historic visits, and incredibly kind staff and hosts! It truly exceeded my expectations! Definitely coming back next year :) Before arrival, the lovely hostess, Ana, provided us with countless places to visit (for rainy and sunny weather) and restaurants (which were all great food local to the region). The room we stayed in was extremely spacious, light and private. The Quinta was beautiful with various spaces to enjoy peace in nature. It was my birthday when we stayed and they kindly made me a birthday cake, which I thought was lovely! Thank you very much for the wonderful stay and experience Casa do Eido!

BelgiumThat I could not take home the little dog that followed us the full 2.5 hours on our walk. It was so cute ...;-)
The ride to this wonderful place is maybe a little steep but it is 100% worth it. You arrive in a friendly / cosy garden with perfect pool /terrace and the people help you with every question/remark. There are even nice walks starting at the Casa.

GermanyOur stay was exceptional! The quinta is even better in reality than on the photos. It has very few rooms which ensures a private atmosphere with many spaces to relax and enjoy the beautiful garden with the fresh water springs. In every corner there is something beautiful to discover. The rooms are spacious and decorated with a lot of love (quality towels, beautiful sheets, fresh flowers). The staff ( Anna, Melanie and all others) were wonderful and extremely caring and always available for us. Thank you very much! The breakfast was delicious, fresh and mostly home made. ♥️
