Excellent B&B ! Everything you could wish for in a B&B experience : fine room (ours was on the ground floor) with a spacious bed and ample storage room. Perfect bathroom with a great shower and an impeccable host (or his sister) serving a great breakfast. Definitely a lodging to return to.

From the start . all went well including rearranging my booking for the following weekend due to bad weather A friendly and warm welcome Beautiful decor( a mixture of repurposed old and new ) , and lovely touches from a service point of view An excellent breakfast with equisite cheeses and ham..not forgetting the eggs cooked to order and a fab french press of coffee Tips and suggestions for visiting the local area were readily forthcoming Nothing was too much trouble for our host Tomas . Needless to say ..we will be back !

Such a beautiful property. So many details in the house have been designed with care! The breakfast is amazing. Mariane is so friendly and helpful and makes so many homemade items including granola! It’s such a relaxing environment and we loved spending time here!

I had a fantastic 2-night stay at Casa da Lado. Tomas and his sister Mariana made me feel so welcome. The room was exceptionally cosy and clean and the coffee/tea/fruit available 24/7 was unexpected and very welcome. The breakfast is exceptional. It is perfectly located to explore Vila de Milfontes and beyond and I did a wonderful coastal hike from the property. Tomas provided me with recommendations and was communicative throughout my stay. I highly recommend.

Tomas and his sister are incredible hosts. The place really had a personal touch and we felt so welcomes. They were flexible when we had to change breakfast or check-out times due to sea conditions for a dive. The breakfast is exceptional. Honestly couldn't rate this place higher; such a romantic, unique and comfortable stay where we felt really at home and relaxed. A touch of luxury in the decoration and hosting as well.

I can't say enough good things. Thomas went out of his way to make our stay a good experience. The breakfast was excellent and the courtyard where it was served was very pleasant. Our room was spotless and well equipped with everything. I would recommend Casa Do Lado to everyone. I will stay there again.

Friendly and helpful hosts-nothing was too much trouble. Amazing breakfast with huge choice, beautifully presented. Especially enjoyed the fresh melon, cheese board and bakery items! Delicious evening meal with lovely fresh produce. Quirky and interesting decor. Lovely sitting spaces-it was a bonus having our own little balcony. Useful little extras-local information, use of fridge, beach umbrella, fresh fruit and drinks available. Although in town the location was quiet and very convenient for restaurants, shops and beaches.

An amazing place smack in the middle of everything. Walkable to the beach and town. The owners' attention to detail and the experience you have is magical: recommendations for restaurants, beaches, hand picked wines, breakfast and dinner to die for. Honestly, owners Tomâs and his sister Chef Marianne could not have been more attentive to our needs and questions about the area. They have given considerable attention to every detail of this guest house ... it's design, personally selected interior decor and commitment to what they want guests to experience during their stay. The breakfasts and dinner in the courtyard were beyond expectation. Absolutely lovely, delicious, beautifully presented and personal. We highly recommend staying at Casa Do Lado.

Tomás is an excellent, very friendly and caring host, he even solved some of my travel problems (what to do and how) ahead of my stay per mail. Breakfast is not standard, but a very good and fresh food sample of regional products. Bed was very comfy, WiFi fast, location is pretty central in the main part of the little village. It is possble to park your car right in front of the building. The house is neat and small, it has a thoughtful interieur architecture and a very modern design with many special eyecatchers. There is a little outdoor patio for having breakfast (without a view). I was very happy with my choice!

We travel a lot, but Casa do Lado is definitely in our all-time top 3! Wonderful host, wonderful house, wonderful area, fantastic breakfast! The house is very clean, very comfortable, quiet, and beautifully decorated. All the appliances are modern, the bed is very comfortable, they have blackout curtains, sound sleep is guaranteed. Breakfast is fantastic, fresh, local produce, quantity and quality is much better than 99% of all the hotels I've ever stayed at. The location is great, right in the center but also only a few minutes walk from the beach. There's a great gelateria and shopping just round the corner and great restaurants within walking distance. Free parking is also available.

This is a great bed and breakfast / inn with excellent food and charming hosts. The brother-sister team's labor of love can be felt throughout the building/rooms and food. They have a good selection of Portuguese wine curated by their father. If you decide to stay, definitely book a dinner (in advance), you will not be disappointed. The beaches are a short walk and there are hiking routes near by.

formerly a family home you may hear the neighboring room

despite located in the middle of town it is quiet as the house in a residential area. the interior is very nicely decorated and Mariana and Tomás who run the place wonderful hosts - and exceptional chef (don’t miss the home cooked dinner!)
