Lovely place in the midst of a huge garden space, where one can have a private walk. Paula the host is very welcoming, helpful and attentive, she gave us so many great recommendations and made us feel entirely at home. The jucuzzi was a nice addition to our evenings. Amazing stay all in all, we had everything we needed.

Only min point is that it is very humid in the house, you need to hand all your clothes and towels outside if you want them to dry but luckily you have plenty of outdoor space to do that so we did not mind it

Unfortunately the bed is terrible. It is really small (I think it is 1.40m wide) and the mattress is very uncomfortable. Hopefully they will replace it soon because then this place is just perfect and I would give it a ten. If you don't mind small beds, this is already the place for you.

This is a really nice apartment in a beautiful garden. It has a large living room, a cozy fire place and a kitchen with enough equipment (maybe an oven would have been nice, but we managed without it). We loved the hottub as well. The garden is so big you can easily get lost. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

The room was home away from home; the bed was amazingly comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the WiFi strong, parking easy and there were many special touches. The owner could not have been more helpful showing me around her beautiful garden (with a hot tub) and offering tips. Excellently positioned to move around the island.

A stove would be nice, but isn’t a necessity, since other appliances are provided (electric kettle, microwave, coffee maker).

Great location within a short drive to Populo Beach and several ocean-side restaurants. Close to Ponta Delgada, but in a residential area with very little noise other than Sunday church bells. Convenient access to major roads heading in all directions. Paula is very good at providing details about things to do and see -she had lots of details we had not found online or in guidebooks. We also loved the pool and hot tub. The property’s gardens and plant life is really amazing.

Casa do Pópulo is a truly special place to stay. Paula is an amazing host. The apartment is well equipped and the garden is magical.

Floor panels (especially those close to the kitchen sink and washbasin) need replacing. It would also be nice to have some space to put a toothbrush and other bathroom items; we had to improvise here. What's more, the hot water faucet didn't work at all, and the cold water one was super-hard to turn off. Generally, the washbasin's look and feel might be in line with the design of the place but it's not very usable.

Casa do Populo is really extraordinary: in essence, it's a park with an old house and some bungalows inside and owners do their best to make it look like a very liveable jungle :) The bungalow we lived in was very spacious and comfortable and had an adjoining gameroom/common space where one could play table tennis or grab a coffee. Additionally, once can use an infinity pool and a jacuzzi, both located in the garden. We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that the whole place was cleaned daily (towels replaced, too). Finally, the owners are super-friendly and helpful.
