This was a beautifully decorated, functional, fully equipped and very clean apartment. We loved our stay and wish we had booked for longer. Our hosts were friendly and helpful.

Whilst the view from the large veranda is lovely there is road noise from a nearby main road. There is however a small terrace at the front which gets the suns most of the day and is very quiet. No road noise can be heard within the property and we slept very well.

Beautiful apartment with a great view of the river and mountains beyond. Very spacious and spotlessly clean, we mainly self catered and this apartment is very well equipped. We came to cycle and we were on empty roads in the hills within minutes. The walk down to the town took about 10 minutes. We throughly enjoyed our stay in Tavira and this apartment is amazing.

Not anything to say here. It was delightful.

Plenty of room and attractive traditional decor. Quiet area of town overlooking the River Gihao. The outside porch is wonderful! The walk to town is easy, and the 120 steps up (or down) between the town to the street of the apartment is a fun challenge. You can park a car right outside the apartment, too. I highly recommend this property.

There was nothing we did not like

The house was amazingly clean, equipped with everything and very spacious for two people. One of the best places we have ever rented in a lifetime of travelling. Our host was lovely and very responsive. Good location in a residential part of town, a quick walk from shops, restaurants etc. We hope to come back and see more of the Algarve, it's such a wonderful region.

Lovely apartment in quiet and convenient location. This is the second time we have stayed here - loved it the first time so we came back and stayed a little longer. The apartment is spacious and had everything we needed for our 6 night stay. It is a 10 minute walk into the old town using the steps down to the river. There is a lovely restaurant just past the bottom of the steps - just 5 minutes from the apartment.

120 steps from the property to the riverside! Bit of a shock but we got used to it!

Spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. The host friendly and accommodating. Good location with views over river and hills. Excellent base for Tavira and touring this part of The Algarve.

The only thing I could suggest to make the apartment even better would be a comfortable cushioned chair on the deck so one could sit outside longer and enjoy the air and the view.

This is a wonderful large apartment in a neighborhood of townhomes close to downtown Tavira. Loved the view of river and hills beyond. Loved being able to quickly walk into town - no car needed. The kitchen had everything you might need and even an excellent small clothes washing machine. The host graciously brought us a bowl of fresh-picked loquats from their loaded tree - yummy. As we were leaving to walk to the train station he volunteered to drive us there - very kind and much appreciated.

More than enough space for a couple. There are equipped kitchen, big living/dining room, bathroom with shower and sink and toilet, a separate toilet, bedroom with very comfortable bed, a balcony next to kitchen/dining room. Everything was so clean and beautiful! Owner is very kind. We could park a car right in front of house.

That we didn't stay for longer!!! It was perfect.

The host very kindly waited up late for us as our flight was delayed and was extremely welcoming, showing us around the property. The accommodation was absolutely spotless, thoughtfully decorated and all facilities available to us. It was much bigger than we had anticipated which was also lovely. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Great location, a very short walk to the main town. At the end of the stay the host kindly let us leave our bags while we went into town for breakfast and then waited for our taxi. A real him from home and would definitely stay again.

I just wish we had stayed longer.

The apartment was perfect! It is in a very quiet location, but still close to the city center. We could get downtown within minutes. The balcony was a plus, with a great view. The owners are really nice. I wish we had more time to talk to them. Also, our flight was delayed, which meant we arrived at around 12:30am, and the owner was kind enough to wait for us.
