The room was tidy and clean but sometimes there was a bad smell from the bath.

The staff members were wonderfuland very willing to help.

Condition of bathroom. In need of repairs. Tap on hand basin was glued down and flopping around. TV did not work. 5 day stay and repairs not attended too. Coffee and tea provided for couple of days only. Overall, more attention needed to finer details, like dusting! TV and other appliances should be fixed before guests arrive.

Was shocked when I walked in at the darkness and no obvious Reception area. I didn't like the darkness, it wasn't friendly although I understand it may have been to save electricity and the environment

The room was fine but the sea grass carpet looked dirty/ stained. The fan in the room was not in great order and needed to be propped up with lime.

Building works for 3 of the 4 mornings we woke up there, including on Saturday morning. So that was disappointing. Plus an issue with the drainage causing a terrible smell in our room.

Ground floor room by the main road a little noisy at night if windows open (required if windows not open in the day as it gets warm/stuffy - no aircon). Possible to hear noise from floor boards outside the room & see light from the corridor as other guests walked past in the evening.

Beautiful, spacious room in a terrific location opposite Jardim do Principe Real. Large, comfortable bed. Staff prepared flowers, sparkling wine, sweets, mini pastel de natas, strawberries & figs to celebrate our engagement.

A very elegant and cosy room. When we entered after a long flight, the bed lights were on and the radio was playing some soft Portuguese music. It was truly magical. We loved everything about Casa Oliver.

Because the place is old you can hear a lot a noise from all the other customers the rooms are not soundproof. Also disappointed with the view on a parking lot.

We didn’t realize until we arrived that there was no air conditioning. A high-speed fan directed right at the bed helped kept it bearable. And the shower has only a small partition, so the bathroom floor was flooded after every shower.

No air conditioning but with open windows and a fan I was comfortable. Also, with heavy bags, I struggled a bit with some stairs. Not a deal breaker, and they helped.

Old World delight. Great marble bathroom and terrific shower. I liked the overall vibe/decor. Very clean. Staff wanted me to love it there. Fabulous large park directly across the street. Easy walk (downhill) to the train station. The bus back up the hill stops right in front of the hotel and only €2 from the train station area. Terrific restaurant next door that is kind of a hidden gem. Gin Lover's Restaurant. It's in a beautiful building. I feel it's a must.

The room was located in the underground floor and there were a lot of stairs to reach it. The price/quality ratio is a bit high
