Only small concern was a neighbor dog barking at night, we were afraid that the dog was left alone, but turns out there are foxes coming to steal chickens! What an authentic village experience!

The shower heads were a bit rusted and green looking. It didn’t look very clean.

Breakfast was delicious. Especially fresh OJ. The distance was perfect for me , five or six euro got you into town very quickly.

There are two dogs running around and in the morning we found a poo on the lawn

At our arrival we got detailed instructions and it all worked prefectly. It is a nice and cosy place for relaxation and fun.( a clean swimming pool even in March ) We enjoyed ourselves a lot.

The ambiance, landscaping, room accommodations, and the staff were all phenomenal! I purchased the romantic addition for only 20€ and it was so worth the effort on the part of the Casa do Alto staff. My girlfriend and I were both awestruck by the detail and the charm. Guys, please get this for your wife or girlfriend if you want to have a romantic connection with your partner! The staff and owners might be as welcoming as the rooms and tranquility of the property. Fantastic communication and response time. Check in was easy and straightforward. Can’t recommend enough!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Very quiet area so it's great for relaxing. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. They allow late night check ins. They have 3 dogs and a cat roaming around the hotel which we loved as we are animal lovers. Rooms were spotless and modern. Beds were comfortable. Food was good and good prices. Not far from Vilamoura harbour, Ubers cost 6-9 euros one way from the hotel. Easy communication via WhatsApp and booking.coms messages. Would 100% recommend and will be staying here again if we return to Portugal.

If you’re heading to the marina, it is a fair distance to walk. However, I hired a bike and this worked well.

Casa do Alto was very well-run with welcoming, helpful owners and staff. We were very comfortable in the apt which was spotless and had a well equipped kitchenette. Nice pool and pretty gardens. Very comfortable bed and the air conditioning was essential!

Everything lovely pool and pool area - so quiet and peaceful, feels like an adults only place without the price tag room and bathroom were great we stayed in a basic room and had access to a communal fridge and nespresso machine the food (breakfast and snack bar) was delicious and very reasonably priced (as was the bar) staff were lovely and very helpful

Casa do Alto was the perfect stay for our holiday, it is such a quiet and relaxing place. The rooms are very clean and well equipped with everything you need. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and they paid attention to the small details in order to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was one of the things that I really loved during our stay, everything is fleshly baked and tastes spectacular. When coming back to Algarve, we will definitely return here!

Thank you for a wonderful stay. This really is a hidden gem - so peaceful and relaxed and such incredible value for money! Vânia & Marloes are such lovely and welcoming hosts and made sure we had everything we needed during the week. The dogs were also gorgeous and so friendly. 10 mins to villamoura and only 25 mins from the airport (Ubers are cheap and readily available) Super clean Lovely breakfasts, lunches and drinks
