The lighting in the bathroom could be a bit better.

They make it a point to make you feel welcome. Left us some snacks and drinks in the mini fridge and also gave access to their kitchen if need be. They cleaned our room each morning. The location is not on a main road, so prepare yourself for off-roading. And if you have luggage, it needs to be carried down a trail path and up the steps into the room. Ana prepared us for the possibility of non-harmful insects since the location is surrounded by nature, which is expected. But they clean each day.

Beautiful location overlooking the sea. Ana welcomed us and gave us all the information about Casas de Incensos and many tips about Pico Island. We loved how remote and peaceful it is. Breakfast was delicious and kept us going the whole day.

this is just heaven on earth if you are looking for a place to completely relax breakfast, pool, view, houses … just everything was perfect it‘s more like vacation with family than with „staff“ Thanks to Ana and her Team we had the time of our life on Pico Island

These aren't issues, just things to be aware of if they matter to you...the cabins don't have A/C and the view and pool aren't really the draw here. It's a beautiful and historically-accurate property.

I had a lovely couple of nights here, with Ana's warm welcome! The drive down from the main road is a bit daunting but it's totally doable even with my automatic car (a bit tight, don't get a giant vehicle). The buildings and gardens are gorgeous, everything smells amazing, like being in a jungle. The service is wonderful (they even snuck into my room during breakfast and cleaned/made the beds). Breakfast was quite a spread, including fresh local cheese, breads, and Ana's homemade pepper jam. Wifi worked fine. The bathroom and shower were nice, and I enjoyed the upstairs couch sitting area (with a mini fridge, which included a bottle of wine & some local cheese).

Absolutely everything! Ana was very attentive and quick to respond to any questions. She gave us guidance on where to eat and swim. The grounds are immaculate. Room is as described comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was perfect. View was exactly as you would dream of. Absolutely would stay here again. Loved it.

It was simply amazing! The accommodation was very unique with a great architecture and interior design. Everything was very clean and the view was stunning!! You can look at the stars, the coast, the pool is good for cooling down —- BUT THE BEST is / was our Host Ana. She was such a lovely person and we felt comfortable from the first second. It was our honeymoon and she prepared a bottle of champagne, chocolate, flowers and a good wine for us. That was amazing. She also was available via WhatsApp when we had questions about what to do on the island and it was very pleasant to just have a good conversation after the breakfast. She is a real multi talent and served self made things with the breakfast, that tasted really really good. The breakfast itself was perfect too! Also every advise Ana gave us (restaurants, viewpoint etc) were a perfect match. If you read this rating don’t hesitate and book that accommodation! You definitely won’t regret!

It was very hot in the room. They provided a fan which helped but it was tough to get a good nights sleep. Otherwise loved it!

nothing was bad.. perhaps creaking parquet if someone wants to sleep, and sometimes risk of having to manoeuvre if 2 cars want to pass at the same time on the narrow road ( but quite common in small towns in portugal).

- nice 2 floors renovated stone house with sea view - calm and secluded but not too remote (15m to restaurants, whales tour, etc) - host ana was always available, keen to help, and very hospitable ( same for other persons working in the property) - breakfast with tasty local products ( perhaps also fruits?) - wifi reliable and quick - there is a pool
