Great location. Excellent value for money. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. I will book City and Beach Hotel again. Loved our stay in deluxe twin room.

The only criticism, and it was not significant, was that they used a strong cleaning fluid to clean the room. There was no doubt the room was clean because the fluid left a strong odor. However, all we had to do was open the window for a little while (which we couldn’t do initially because of the rain) and the odor was eliminated, so this wasn’t a big issue.

We had a brief (one-night) stay, but it was excellent. We arrived well before check-in time, but the room was ready so we were able to go up to it immediately. The front desk staff was very friendly and thoroughly acquainted us with the hotel and the surrounding area. The location is about as convenient as you could ask for unless you want to actually be on the beach. It was a day of intermittent rain, so we would go out to explore, return when the rain got too hard, and then go out again when it stopped raining. The location made it easy for us to do that.

Breakfast left a lot to be desired, with a coffee machine that served espresso that was so sweet we thought it was hot cocoa. There was also a lot of construction noise at the hotel in the morning, which seemed to come from the rooftop. There was also some mold in the shower

Location is super central and there is a lovely little coffee shop / cafe 50m up the road. The staff was courteous, and the room was really spacious with a large, private balcony

There really wasn’t anything I did not like. If I had to be picky, I guess they could shampoo the hallway carpet, but it wasn’t too bad.

It was located perfect, approximately 150 ft from the downtown and all of the restaurants. And it was a very quiet location. The hotel was always very clean and the rooms were very comfortable, even the bed. The breakfast was good too. The staff was excellent. They helped me quite often. Felip at the reception was very helpful.

They used cleaning products or deodorizers throughout whole hotel that had a very strong perfume smell. We might be more sensitive to it, but it was overwhelming. We opened our door to outside when in our room to try and air it out. Some people might like it though.

The location was perfect in the middle of the best area. Clean, full breakfast buffet included.

The location was outstanding. Just steps away from Praia de Raina, the gem of Cascais beaches, in my opinion. Also close to the rail line for those arriving by rail. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. It was small, as expected but had refrigerator and tea/coffee service. Breakfast was fine. The coffee machine at breakfast was temperamental which was the main concern. Otherwise adequate selection of fruit, hot food, breads, yogurt. Good value for the price. Will stay here again.

Comfortable stay, room was nicely decorated though hotel overall could do with a bit more attention to detail, looking a bit old in places. Nice welcome on arrival. Comfy beds, air con, good selection of TV channels. Bit of a plumbing issue when we first arrived but it went away. Breakfast pretty average but did the job. Free water refill in reception was great!

They did not refund us the €170 cancellation fees (per room) for the two other rooms we had booked, one for our son and one for my brother. So in total they charged us €340, although the reason of the unexpected cancellation was explained to them, which was a family emergency. Booking.com even offered to not charge the hotel their usual commission as they supported the matter but hotel owners were most unhelpful. Our son will be getting married in Cascais in 2024 and we would have booked bulk rooms to accommodate our large Asian families, (at least 30 rooms), so I guess they lost our business, as there are several good centrally located hotels in Cascais.

Parking was tricky--though the hotel can't really help that. The lot they referred us to was challenging when leaving. When you pay and get to your car and load luggage, you apparently only have 15 minutes or your exit ticket won't work. You then have to rush to pay station again to pay another 50 cents to exit. Hopefully you don't have cars behind you. There were several cars in the same situation. Maybe refer customers to another lot?

The coffee wasn't the best to my tastes.

The hotel is located within walking distance (200metres) of the train from Lisbon. The street is not noisy. There is a choice of sandy beaches, only 5 minutes walk away. Restaurants and shops are next door or also within 5 minutes walk. Further walks along the coast either east to Estoril or west to discover two lighthouses are good for exercising the legs. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of fruit, bread and cooked goods. The staff were always cheery, helpful and knowledgeable. The room was clean, had plenty of natural light and felt airy. They provided free beach towels and a glass bottle for drinking water, which could be topped up at a water filter.

Only issue was the flusher on our toilet was broken and it took about 4 days to be repaired.

Clean, comfortable, modern hotel with comfortable beds and a well stocked and varied buffet breakfast......had to be in early for the fresh bread rolls.
