Very good hotel in a quiet location although centrally located within walking distance of pretty much everything. Rooms are very clean, we had a room with a balcony, nice view to the back yard and pool, also very quiet. We had a couple of very good dinners at Douro restaurant at the hotel, so a special positive mention for the restaurant. Also, the parking Central close to the hotel was a very good choice, you receive a discount card for the parking at check in.

The staff wasn’t as friendly as I would have wanted it to be. Compared to our stay in Lisbon, same category 4 star hotel the staff was impecable there in Lisbon.

This is an exceptional hotel! They really do care about their guests - everything is amazing, starting from the reception to the breakfast, spa and all other hotel facilities, thank you! Also, there is a god sound insulation - so we slept well.

Housekeeping and maintenance service was a bit slow. The bathroom had a damp smell that lingered.

I do enjoy drinking a cup of tea in the room at the hotel. We didn't always get teabags nor milk. otherwise we had a good stay.

Breakfast, if you purchase on the day, is €20 which was a little expensive in our view and they didn’t not bring out much we hot food when it ran out.

The location was excellent - although with the traffic in centre to drive only 5KM in 1 Hours was frustrating but nothing Hotel could do about that....

The hotel has a very strong floral scent in the lobby which caused a problem for us because of allergies. Thankfully, it was only the lobby so it did not affect the comfort of our room.

Loved the location as it is in walking distance of the river, Old town and most of the historic sights of Oporto and Gaia. It is also very close to numerous pastelerias.

The towel heater in my room didn't seem to work or I couldn't figure out how to turn it on but wasn't a necessity.

Beautiful hotel, the staff was super helpful when I needed it and were very kind. I only stayed for one night before flying back home but while I was there it was very comfortable and quiet. I was upgraded for free to a larger room which wasn't necessary at all but great! The wifi was good and the beds were very very comfortable. The mini bar was very heavily stocked and not very expensive compared to other places I've stayed. I tried out the sauna and mini pool which were a great relaxation for the end of my trip but I do think the 8€ was a bit overpriced for just a sauna and mini pool but I still enjoyed myself. I also ate at the restaurant and had the grilled octopus and great! I would definitely stay here again.

If you didn't get to breakfast early enough, it was first come first serve. If it was gone, there was no more of that item. One thing they can't control... wish it was a little closer to the top sites. Was within reason, but usually had a 15-20 minute walk to get back. Tough after long day of being on your feet all day.

The staff was excellent. Had a few requests that they took care of for us and were very helpful. The night desk crew was great.

The pool was a little cold (normal for the time of year but it’s unfortunate it is in the shade and not heated). The gym has windows facing the street with no tint so I had a lot of people looking in and even someone banging on the window while I worked out. Also the spa is extra which I find a little stingy!

Location was perfect - you can walk to all the sites. Room was comfortable, restaurant food was good- staff at the front desk were all amazing- Lili Beth at the spa was terrific and bruna also at the spa gave a really good massage.
