The village is remote but beautiful. The schist houses are well preserved and there are many trials nearby. The village also offers different creative experiences/ art workshops for visitors and we highly recommend doing one.

Cerdeira is the perfect retreat the recharge yourself. The sound of peace and feeling of calm will surround you during your stay. The craftsmanship will inspire you and the food is what i would like for breakfast for the rest of my life. If i could i will live there, it felt like home. Thank you Cerdeira

Hard to describe in words such an amazing place , amazing houses - amazing staff . One of the best and more magical places I’ve been in this world . I can only recommend - GO - GO - GO and stay here at least once in life and experience all that this team and place have put together. Just a big hands up to everyone that put this project / hotel / village together and being keeping this space immaculately perfect .

Weak wifi connection.

It's perfect place to escape from a loud city for a couple of days. It's full of fresh air, hiking, and walking paths, and nature all around. Our house was clean, pleasantly warm, and cozy. The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to our requests.

Was an amazing respite. Creative, warm, cozy. We booked the day before we arrived so did not know you could pre order dinner. We had a full kitchen. Breakfast and the cafe was lovely. It's worth the drive. You won't experience anything like it. Feels good to support the restoration of the xisto villages. My son and I thank you all for a wonderful experience. Gina and CJ

The location in a historic restored village and in a remote location in the Lousa mountains was incredible. The fact that it was also an artist residency was a bonus for us but our primary reason for visiting.

The shower could have a bit more of water pressure.

Lousã is like a second home to me, and Cerdeira has a special place in my heart. I love the location, the well equipped and cozy houses, the views over the mountains and of course the kindness of everyone there.

Seriously one of the best places I have ever stayed at. You really feel at home, at night the only thing you hear is the water stream... pure lush! Everyone is very homely, the houses are very traditional but with modern features on the inside. Mind blowing

What a dreamy place.. I was not sure if the drive was worth it, but it was for sure! Even during rain and cold.. a lovely place to stay :) I had the hostel all by myself, cooked in the evening - super nice!

If you are going during the red deer mating season, bring a pair of earplugs. The male deer can get quite noisy at night.

The location is ideal when you want to get away from the busy city life. Everything was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

What a truly special place and so well run. A wonderful location amd vision, warm service, great food, and very unique and comfortable charming accomodation. Great walking trails to other schist villages.

We had 2 single beds merged into a double but that was the only available house we could have. The mattresses themselves were not very comfortable for our taste - they were too hard. The house (das vizinhas) had little natural light on the first floor. We wanted to book activities and there was a slight lack of communication but overall the staff was great anyway.

Everything about the place is hard to describe with words. From the first time you drive into and see that little village to the checkout, we feel like we are completely in awe. The location is great if you want to rest, hike, read a book, disconnect, or even if you want a quiet place to stay while you explore the area. The houses are very tastefully decorated and the spirit of the village lives in every little detail. The cafe under the wine tree is super cute and the smell of the grapes is what we will remember from our whole stay. The staff is very attentive overall and super friendly. We are definitely going back! Oh, and you hear deers, crickets, owls, and who knows what else at night! Deers might even walk just under your window :)

Supplies to build fires could be enhanced a bit - our unit indeed had cut firewood in it but no matches/lighter, no kindling or paper to start, and no hatchet or similar to try and create our own kindling using the logs. We made it work all the same, (had to get creative) but I think future guests may appreciate a bit more in the fire supplies :)

Breakfast was great! Team was incredibly hospitable and easy going. Also the home-cooked meal we pre-ordered for the night we arrived was one of the best meals we had while roadtripping throughout all of portugal for two weeks, hands down. Don't skip the homemade dinner!

Maybe a booking system for the art classes can be added, so you can book the classes instantly.

We loved the location. The whole family enjoyed the house the food, and the coziness. We will come back.

Very creative, natural & beautiful! Just what we needed! A good rest if that’s your fancy or beautiful hiking scenery. We were lucky to see some deer & the owls kept us company at night❤️ The treehouse is a must!
