Not 2 bathrooms, only 1 bathroom and extra toilet and both on ground floor (bedrooms upstairs). No door mat, therefore floor becomes wet and messy. We were given a chalet with a fabulous view but were unable to take it due to accessibility. Deep gully from car to very uneven steps, and with no hand rail to the lodge, not good for less mobile people and children.

The stone walkways made walking difficult. Stairs to chalet were steep and uneven. Handrails on stairs were worn wood that caused splinters on the children in our party.

Location was fantastic, especially the views. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen adequately supplied. It even had a coffee bean grinder. Pool at hotel was nice but costly.

We were quite a long way from the hotel, and there wasn't much else going on in the area, whether it was low season (early June) or not I don't know, but no other eating choices other than the hotel.

As the chalets were self catering no meals provided, we ate most evenings at the mediaeval buffet which was fine. The chalets themselves were fine if a bit limited on power points for charging etc..

Bedrooms too hot, living room cold. The temperature difference was brutal.

Location was great. The area outside the chalets is nice for kids to play.

The place (Chalet 25) REALLY needs a lot of repair. The weather is severe up in the mountains - the wind leaked through most windows. The TV remote is old and about half the buttons don't work. The pellet stove control was completely broken, but fortunately it could be 'controlled' by plugging the stove in to start the fire, then unplug. Repeat until bored with this. Kitchen utensils were minimal. The handover of the ration bag of two Delta-Q coffee capsules for two people/two days was a silly ritual at check-in.

Location is what you get here - spectacular location. Perfect fiber internet - 100 megabits/s. Despite the negatives stated below, the place was warm enough despite stormy weather, and was a nice basic place to stay.

The chalets are not new, all the interior made of wood including stairs that were bit creaky.

All over it was very nice accommodation with lots of space, clean and cozy. Comfortable beds. Good kitchen. Nice wooden interior. Perfect location.

There’re was a pounding noise the whole night , I got up to see what it was and I found out was the chimney hitting because of the strong wind z as also the air conditioning didn’t work.

Beautiful views over the mountains of Serra da Estrela. The cabins are spacious and spotless. The staff at reception is very welcoming and helpful. TV with Disney Chanel was a plus for the kids 👍🏽 It was definitely a good experience.
