There was nothing we did not like about the Chalet. The restaurants in Colares were generally not open early in the week for dinner when we were there in May. There are, of course, numerous restaurants in Sintra.

Chalet Vitorino is beautifully furnished with antiques and paintings; it is ideal for couples. The owners were welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The continental buffet breakfast was excellent. Numerous local buses to Sintra and the west coast stop frequently outside the Chalet.

There is nothing really that I didn't like. We even got a room upgrade for free. The streets outside are quite "dangerous" as there is not that much space to walk to places. But taxis worked out very nicely and were cheap. Therefore the location to all sightseeing was great.

I am a side sleeper, so needs a soft mattress. The mattress was too hard for me.

The shower dud not drain well but of course thus is easily fixed.

The building is historic, beautifully decorated and sparkling clean. Renovated but preserving old original features. Quiet and comfortable. Staff extremely nice. Breakfast was plentiful with delicious selections. Colares is a great location near beaches and near UNESCO sites.

The property is nice and comfortable . It’s full of precious details everywhere. The breakfast room is comfortable and very elegant . There are a swimming pool and a fitness room. The food was delicious! We felt really as we were at home. Mr Vitorino and his staff are always ready to attend the guests when they need . We had an up grade and our room was big, well decorated and the air conditioner was working very well. The street is busy but the windows keep the noise outside. The bed and linens have good quality. It is located close to the beaches (Grande and Maçã)and also next to good restaurants at reasonable distance by car. There’s a very good vegetarian restaurant just in front. We will come back again for sure!

Beautiful Vila, lovingly restored. Vitorino is an exceptional host as well as those we met at breakfast. To say breakfast was fabulous is an understatement. No complaints but may not stay there without a car, although there was a bus stop very near and public transit in the area seems reliable.

It was easy to check in late. Nice and caring people running the vila. Interiors are cozy and impressive, using unique antique furniture. Breakfast was beautifully served. The beds are very comfortable.

The breakfast was amazing! Mr. Vitorino was amazing, he makes everything fresh and he made the best pastries we have ever had! We will definitely be coming back some day! My fiancé told Mr. Vitorino that he wanted to propose while we were in Sintra and he gave him amazing advice where to take me (Cabo de la roca) and he also gave us excellent recommendations for dinner! He was so hospitable and helpful! He also made special pastries just for us as a congratulations for our engagement which was so sweet! The place was gorgeous and was by far the most beautiful place we stayed in our two week trip around Portugal! Location was also very convenient as well and we definitely felt safe where we were.
