How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Loud construction working above my room. Some utensils or things in the room were damaged.
Super location directly in the town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious coffee in de morning.

Pool was aliitle small and I had 2 teenager children....could do with 3 beds...not just a camping bed for the 3rd teenager.

Well ,it wasn’t a big problem for me ,but the staff on reception are very noisy , talking loud ,I was on the first floor so I could hear the loud eco . Also they should advert when guests that has no sense and respect are making noisy middle of night, on the hotel corridors , I know is not hotels faulty but everything out of normal should be warned.
The room size ,Wi fi ,Tv ,frigobar ,shower is very good and strong , Aircon ,friendly staff , location is amazing !!! Breakfast very good ,not five star but with good variety and perfect to start the day !

lady on the reception was very dismissive . she was not friendly. there was a big lack of interest and care for the pool area. there was lots of noise early every morning somebody working and moving furniture around it was very very annoying being woke at this early time of 7 or 8 o clock

The hotel was on a steep hill
The room was a good size for two and was cleaned daily. The location was amazing as it was right next to the 'old town'

The breakfast was well priced and had a good variety of fruits/coffees/teas/pastries. Unfortunately, I found a hair in mine on the first day, so I never ate it again.
It was conveniently located to Old Town restaurants and the beach. The property was kept very clean and the room top pool was a nice alternative to cool off. Many pleasant restaurants/shops less than 5 minute walk away.

The building design doesn't allow for balconies but that was the only downside for us.
Handy for access to the Old Town and also road network. The staff were friendly and always on hand. The rooftop pool was ideal but was very cold! Maybe it would be better if it was covered at night to keep some heat in.

We had breakfast in with our deal but it really didn't look appetising for us so we ate out every morning
The rooms were very basic but the beds were very very comfortable and thats the main thing I love with accommodation. It was situated in the centre of Old Town. Just a stone throw from the beach and restaurants.

We asked for thing at the reception and we were not treated very well but it was not that bad though...

The roof top pool was nice. I think the railings around the roof could of done with a fresh coat of paint.
Breakfast was basic. But sufficient. Fruit, Yoghurt, Breads, Bacon,Egg.Sausage. Hot/cold drinks.

There was no balcony which I think was an oversight on my part when booking. The hotel is located on quite a steep hill, so not good for those less mobile.
The location was great and the rooftop pool was great too. Staff were helpful and room cleaned daily.

Remember this hotel is in a prime location in OLD town so please don't expect everything to 100% Things will need replacing updating etc but the charm and friendlessness of staff and locals will far exceed a faulty this or that.
The location is incredible for the price. A one minute walk down hill to some very good local restaurants. Shown your room which is unusual these days .
