How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Comprehensive small continental breakfast. Clean and comfortable. Perfect for a business or hiking trip to this small island. Very friendly staff. 600m easy walk through the small town to the airport, and local restaurant.

The only point of complaint is that there're no double beds in this hotel, only twin beds set apart, which is not that convenient. Also, a little bit of wear starts showing - I can imagine that a refresh will soon be due at this hotel.
Corvo is a small island, and for a small island hotel, Comodoro does an amazing job. Clean and comfortable rooms, working WiFi, continental breakfast included into the room price - all in all, decent setting for a stay on the smallest island of the Azores archipelago. The front-desk lady was very friendly and she helped arrange a shuttle to the top of the mountain to see the caldera. The room was well-sized, with enough storage space. Complimentary water was provided as well. We can only recommend.

Great small hotel with amazing stuff. If you have some dietary limitations, tell them in advance (or the biggest shop has at least soya milk). We were both happy with our stay.

We arrived in the morning and they let us check in so we could head to hiking. The transfer to Caldera can be arranged at the hotel. Big and clean room. I was happier to stay in Corvo rather than in Flores for price and quantity! Recommended.

Incredible staff! Dona Rosa, Rene and Ana are the best ever hosts - so kind and really take time to have a good chat, laugh and stories about the island. Definitely a place to stay.

Everything was beyond excellent! The owners Renee and Ana made our stay so memorable, helping us with getting around anytime we needed it in addition to setting up a car for us on our arrival to the neighboring town of Flores. They were very personable and friendly, as was everyone in the town. The room was great - spacious, hot and pressure filled shower - and even had air conditioning which was a nice bonus we weren't expecting. Getting the balcony with a view of the ocean was incredible. Highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We didn't realize that we could make hot drinks in the dining area. No one told us.
It's a bit quirky in that all the reception staff seem to be doing other jobs as well, and you never saw the same one twice. But they were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Easy walk up from the airport or ferry.

Beds are a little hard, to be changed, but we still slept well, luckily they have airco, greatly appreciated!

we got a small room with no sensible view & no balcon/terrace
one of the few (only?) hotels on this small island; clean room, bathroom and common areas; the room is definitely small (but you don't come to this island just to sit in a hotel); good varied breakfast; some (not all!) rooms have balconies/terraces

The whole town is small anyways, so the hotel and everything is within walking distance from either seaport or airport. Breakfast is basic but plentiful. Cleanliness is spotless in the whole building. It's a hotel, but you feel like home. Staff is not around 24 hours, but could be reached by calls if needed. My check-in staff was nice in suggesting walks and viewpoints; she also helped with securing my boat tickets
