It is a fantastic location and is very tastefully decorated. Modern but keeping the historic charm of an old Monastery. The staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating as well. Loved our stay.

Breakfast was very good but, unfortunately, nothing changed during our staying (such as no cakes or sweet things, same cheeses)

Breakfast with local products was great, especially the local pineapple. Rooms are very spacious for the guest to stay very comfortable. Staff very kind to help with any need.

This place is beautiful, every single space of the couvent is an invitation to meditate. The staff has been extremely nice, breakfast was all we needed and we often had the feeling of being alone in the convento when the hotel was full. Our room was huge with beautiful views from every window and the terrace is also a great place to chill. The swimming pool area was perfect too.

The sounds that the wooden floor made could be a bit bothersome.

The breakfast was definitely my favorite part. Everything fresh and local. I still miss the fresh azorean cheese and the pineapple. Also, the ambience of the accomodation was outstanding. It was so calm and cozy.

A wonderful place to stay, tranquility, picture perfect, home-made breakfast of local products, friendly staff, architecturally restored with respect to the original building, great little village 5 minutes walk full of activities that equal what's available in the city, highly recommend to stay here rather than Ponta Delgada which is reachable 20-25 mins by car if needed - would return to stay at the Convent without question.

The only thing I could think of was that the room could have used a fan. If ice had been available, that would have been a bonus.

The view of the ocean was tremendous. The breakfasts had the freshest cheese, orange juice, bread, and pineapple. It was conveniently located to a grocery store and surrounding sites.

Nothing. Just as a word of advice, there are some areas of the property that are under-utilized… create a pool-table space, a checkers/dames, other board games, darts, maybe a small bar and oh yeah, a fridge in the rooms. etc…

The fact that it was an old convent added charm to the property. The was it has been re-organized with a pool and amenities is amazing… The staff were always smiling and offered great advice and support.

I would improve breakfast - its one of the main part of the day, especially for tourist - wake up, eta and go for adventures, not waste time to find some place to eat a little bit more - add omlet, some meat And improve wi-fi, still you need it for planing your day, etc, but not working good , only in some places upstairs

You need to try it! You live like in some medieval castle - nothing modern, calmness, no TV, just relax!

I loved this spot. It was so peaceful and well maintained. We even got a private tour of the establishment to learn about the history and the work that continues to take place to revitalize this site. We appreciated it was supporting the local village and how much care and pride the people had for this place. Absolutely stunning and would recommend to anyone willing to travel a little bit outside of the main port town.
