How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nice roomy apartment with everything you need. Perfect location for all of the nearby attractions and eating establishments. Parking was nearby.

Apartment is spacious, clean and very well equipped. The location, near to the Parque Terra Nostra and various restaurants is extremely convenient. The kitchen included everything needed and the bathroom was clean and well set up with great water pressure. The host was very helpful with start up and other messages. Having an outdoor patio was also very handy.

Nothing, but maybe only one small thing to consider: since it is a groundfloor apartment there is not so much natural light. Enough and many windows. There are many lights in the apartment so that is not an issue.
We had a very good stay at Furnas Cozy Inn! Check-in was super easy (key is 24h/24h available) and the communication was clearing and on time. The location is perfect, everything is at walging distance (stores, restaurants ...). There is always parking available since there is a big parking space just around the corner. Many facilities in the apartment: fulltime equipped kitchen, wasmachine and powder, terras, ... Good restaurants at walking distance: we recommend Cozido at Terra Nostra (more expansive but very good and way too much, be hungry!). Afterwards you can enter the gardens with the natural hotspring. Furthermore A Quinta and Tony´s restaurant were also very good places to eat!

The lack of bath towels, old beach towels supplied are as soft as sandpaper. One of the small top window structure is permenantly open which I guess is for venting. A mesh screen would help to keep bugs away.
Great location. If using google maps, look for Flamingo Apartment which was the condo above. Street parking is free but was hard to find in the afternoon. The town clears out in the evening, parking is alot easier then. Location was great, we ended up walking everywhere. Plenty of restaurants and stores near by.

It is a great location and everything you need is just a short walk. House is so cool, clean, comfortable, beyond our expectation. Kitchen is fully loaded and lots of stuff supplied. Bye the way, I don' t know what's wrong with the Booking' s email system. I can receive owner's email but I could reply:(

Only missed an indoor drying rack. The rest was quite nice, big and well equipped.

- Kitchen has quite poor minor equipment (more glasses, knives, cutting board, etc would be great to have) - dryer - only a wire on the yard, not closed from rail - anti sleeper in bathroom would be great
Perfect location Parking slot can be found any time if not in 50 meters than slightly further. Mini shop almost in front of door quiet, no window to street no extra noise Big living room combined with kitchen, having big dinner table I'd rate it as 8.5 but between 8 and 9 choose 8

Unfortunately, because of dampness, some white mould on the bedroom wall and water seeps into apartment after rain.
Centrally located, within walking distance of all attractions in the town. Very spacious with large outdoor patio with BBQ.

There was nothing not to like. We could not find a wine bottle opener in the apartment but the neighbors helped.
The location was perfect. I really appreciated leaving wine for my BFs birthday. The home was very clean and nice.

Our taxi had a difficultly finding the apartment because we were not supplied an actual street number address, and the name "Furnas Cozy Inn" is not visible on the exterior of the building. Ultimately, the photos of the exterior allowed us to find the location.
The location was excellent for access to the sites, resturants and village of Furnas. It was very spacious apartment with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed and furniture. We had a very late arrival and the host asked if there were any items, like food and drink that they could get for us to make out arrival better. They supplied us with the items we asked along with some additional snacks and a bottle of wine which were greatly appreciated.

The fridge smelled like meat and garlic. We had to kill some cloth moth and the towels smelled like cigarettes.
