Nothing, but a small thing one working there egent around day after day its the english speaking man they have only man. I had been brought to hospital, and could pay taxi taxi said ok and all fine. I had just been not let in a hostell sat waiting hour past opening. Then bolt drove me to another hostell i though 2 hours later drops me at hotel and take 50 cash on top of 41 it cost to the hostell. Really sick 2 strokes chronic pancreatitt chronic pain psykoses and anxiety hotel send me to hospital so had nothing left for taxi.

Good place, cheap, yet so beautiful there. No garbage, you just haveto at lower price sleep in shared bunkrede and you Get breakfest no matter what you choose.

We stayed in May and my son and I are hot sleepers. But the AC is not functional until summer months. We slept with the balcony door open and it was completely comfortable. Not a deal breaker for us.

Comfort, location is beautiful! Community kitchen for preparing your own food. The staff are super helpful.

An overhead light on both sides of the room would have been perfect because my side of the room did not have one. And the timers for the lights in the bathroom need to be longer so you're not constantly waving your hands when you need to be in there for more than 30 seconds.

Dorms are very basic and you feel like you are in a garage with no soundproofing from any noise echoing down the corridor.. I had to use an additional quilt from an empty bed as too thin for the time of year. Hostel breakfast very basic.

Very large kitchen with six hobs,microwave,two ovens,toaster,large fridge and kettle. You can sit in bar area. Comfortable mattresses.You can walk down river on both sides.Quiet location. Shower was like standing in a warm waterfall.Only ten minute walk from bus station.

I didn't get wifi reception from my room. Also, you can hear pretty much everything because there are no real walls or doors, is all divided by wooden material. The rest is all good!

Great location, huge kitchen and living area, nice terrace and comfortable bed. I paid a good price for my stay and it included a small free breakfast. Great showers.

Rooms are all handmade but really well done! Beds are comfortable, and you get a nice locker space for your backpack. The bathrooms are quite messy when there's a lot of guests and could really use a redo. They have the hostel bar which has a very nice balcony to the river. The hosts are very kind!

No underground parking available with direct elevator to the lobby, but that would be a bit of a stretch given the price level 😉

Well, the lack of sleep! There was some football team staying in the opposite dormitory, and they were super loud, starting at 11pm! Despite the guests from our dormitory telling them to be quiet, they ignored us completely. We also informed the reception staff, not once, not twice, but three times about the problem. They answered, ”We will talk to them.” But nothing at all happened. The football players just kept being really loud. I, personally, went twice to the reception, the second time already after midnight. I asked for a refund as I got no sleep at all (and I had to leave at 6am) and also for management to contact me about this issue. As I write this review, now 5 days after my stay, I have heard nothing from them. I guess ignore the problem and it will go away? Well, I told them I would write an honest review, so here it is. It’s a shame, as things started very well there, but ended in basically a wasted night’s accommodation as I got no sleep at all.

Great location, and I very much appreciate that they had a place to store my bicycle (I was on a bicycle tour), and they also let me arrive a little earlier so that I could start my siteseeing before the official check in time.

The breakfast was included but very basic- bread, cheese and ham, milk and instant coffee and tea.

We really liked the location and the guest's house interior design was fantastic. Were really impressed with the attention to details and the garden .

- Some guests... Although they're also guests, some people are staying in Des Arts for long since they're working in Amarante... I think some guests could be a bit aware that they should not bring their bad manners from home to a shared space dedicated for rest and leisure of others.

I like absolutely everything in the service provided by Des Arts. - Location: perfect place in the heart of Amarante, the river is close, where you can see nany fishes, hear birds singing and feel the nature. - Staff: sweet and kind people, the best part of the staying. You guys are doing a great job!! - Beds: comfortable and clean . - Rooms: medium size, clean good ventilation
