Our room was small but had a lovely private balcony with a table and chairs. There was also a huge patio in the courtyard with lounge furniture and a garden view.

Quiet, comfortable, safe, friendly and accommodating staff. We used the seating in the courtyard every day and it was like an extra room for our apartment. Junior’s restaurant, was below the apartments, and provided excellent food !

Everything, Junior very attentive, as always, accommodation very comfortable, and has everything you need, there's even a nice wee terrace to sit out on to enjoy .... The Castle Restaurant, which is directly below accommodation is amazing, but must book, food mmmmmm..... Location is so central, I did a lot of walking along nature reserve, to nearby wee villages.... oh and ferry to beach ⛱️... definitely a must .... everyone so friendly and helpful.... Junior is the perfect host....

Apartment had all we needed clean and location great. Terrace fantastic. Junior and Diane were great hosts and the restuarant below was the icing on the cake.

Not being able to lock kitchen windows that led to the patio. Although it felt safe enough, I'd want to be able to lock them.

Location of the place is fantastic! Excellent restaurants nearby as well supermarket and sights. Nice cosy place with patio area. It was great to have AC. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances.

The restaurant downstairs also belonging to Junior (manager of Discovery), is very popular and can get quite noisy if groups stay on later. Most of the noise can be blocked, but if you want an early night and are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. To be fair, it only happened one evening.

It can be a bit chilly, but Jr was very considerate and put a space heater in the room. And an extra blanket on the bed, so we stayed nice and cozy!

Discovery Tavira was easy to find and walkable from the train station. Junior was quick to communicate. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked for two people. There is a great terrace, but unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so we couldn't enjoy it. If you don't feel like cooking your own dinner, you can order from Jr's restaurant next door and they'll deliver to your room.! And, the food is fabulous!!

The lack of a hairdryer was disappointing as most other apartments/hotels do provide this.

Very centrally located and perfect for my 2 day trip, there was tea, beer and snacks provided which was a nice touch. Extra blankets and a heater were also great as it was colder when I was there.

This place has a fantastic location for exploring around Tavira, I messaged to ask if we could leave our bags somewhere until the room was ready as we arrived early, they were very accomodating, we met Junior, the owner, the next day and he asked how things were, we mentioned a couple of things that were needed like the hairdryer which was only blowing cool air, by the afternoon he came back with a new hairdryer, kettle, and a few other things, he went above and beyond to help, the beds were very comfortable and a decent size kitchen and bathroom, the lovely patio which is private is next to one of the towers from the castle, the castle is a few hundred yards from the accomodation. The ferries to the beach are close by, If i come back to Tavira i would definitely stay here again.

I wish they had communicated where to park before I arrived. I even asked but there was a miscommunication and it was a bit stressful. Unfortunately I also ended up getting very sick during my vacation and had to stay in the room more than anticipated. It was pretty dark and claustrophobic because I had to keep the shades and windows closed do to privacy. Bedding was a bit dated. But these are all unusual circumstances.

The owner and staff are extremely kind and courteous. The owner even upgraded me out of the blue to a better room which is an amazing thing to do!! The location can’t be beat and the rooms are spacious and very quiet.

Location was perfect as we knew the area very well. Good accommodation and Diane was very helpful and available if required.We booked the small room but got upgraded to a bigger room. Am sure we will go back.l
