Alas a nearby cockerel meant we got little sleep after 6am. Other than that everything good.

Owner spoke little English but we managed fine. She was very warm and friendly. Nice to sit out in the evening.

Because this is a rural property, there are roosters next door and, of course, they make noise.

Spacious, clean, fully equipped facility with lovely terrace and mountain views, generous and kind hostess, lovely welcome treat. Rural location with adorable lambs next door. Hostess gave me use of her herb garden. Excellent value for money.

The apartment can get humid during the wet season, but it's equipped with an air dryer.

Very clean and comfy, good size, nice to have some outdoor space too. Friendly hosts and lots of good info in the property about the area. Close to lovely walks and the mountains.

Overall we were absolutely happy to be there, but just a few points to consider: - no dishwasher which is essential when there is a need to save hot water :) - afternoon heating is giving you a comfort in the evening, but hard to get out of the bed in the morning since it’s pretty chilly in the room (applicable only in winter) - humidity is pretty high, there is an air dryer in the apartment that needs to be used

- fantastic owners, willing to help and accommodate you the best, really! A lot of hints what to do provided. - quiet location, far from the roads but still within 30 minutes walk to good supermarket Continente - well equipped kitchen (including special glasses for Madeira wine), we were lacking only dishwasher - really good Wi-Fi quality and speed - spacious rooms with enough sleeping places to choose - barbecue on the terrace with mountain view - private parking space - ability to take some greenery from own garden (salads, herbs, etc)

All was perfect nothing to could improve.

We would give Discovery Apartment 11 out of 10! The location was fantastic, small cul de sac a short walk away from town. There is a nice walk nearby and the studio apartment had everything we needed and more. We did not travel by car and the location was perfect - very short walk- to bus stop and supermarket. We also liked staying in Santana for walks by public bus/taxi that we couldn’t do from Funchal in one day and also nice experience to stay in more rural setting for some days. The hosts were beyond lovely- met us at bus so we could go straight walking, greeted with biscuits and homemade wine, wonderful info for hiking and local area attractions. Very kind hosts and we felt at home. Studio very comfortable and nice to see stars at night from outside patio and pass traditional houses, fields, etc walking into town. We would have stayed longer if we could! Highly recommend this guest house. Thank you for the memories!

Such a nice place to rest and sleep in the quiet country side. Apartment is really big and clean and has a washing machine. Host is super friendly and welcomed me with wine from Santana and lots of cookies. I absolutely loved it

Apartment is very clean, cosy and quiet. We had a magnificent view from the terrace. Kitchen is well equipped. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful for us, we got welcoming treat and going-away present. It's incredible rare to meet so nice people. I recommend with all my heart.

The studio has a tiny problem with humidity, but I guess it causes by the climate of North Madiera.

Great apartments quite near the centre of Santana and it is a strategic location for trips around East and Centre of Madeira. The studio had everything we needed (full kitchen, bathroom equipment and so on). Host family is friendly and kind, thank you so much! :)

Discovery apartment is wonderful. The owners are very nice, responsive and kind. The apartment was very clean, with a very nice terrace overlooking the countryside. Beds are comfortable and everything worked well. We even got a small welcome gift. I would highly recommend
