Arriving by car was a little tricky, since the hotel entrance is a short distance up a narrow street, and there is no on-site parking. However, it was possible to unload cases, and on-street parking nearby was straightforward, so no real problem. We would be very happy to stay at this hotel again.

A friendly welcome, and a nice clean, comfortable hotel close to the historic centre. A good restaurant for dinner, and possibly the best breakfast during our 2 weeks in Portugal. The welcome drink was a nice touch.

The “Spa” is disappointing. With some minor alterations it could be transformed into an inviting, stylish place, but as it is now it is a bit sad and sterile (opinion of an Interior Designer).

Not enough Teabags in the room. A small issue! We didn’t want all linen changed every day and when we asked that it be left it was left.

Big bed. Excellent breakfast. Just would’ve liked the hot water for tea to be hot not barely hot.

We loved the location right next to the Castle, and close to the centre of the Old Town. Our room was great - fresh coffee, comfortable beds, and a fabulous view from our balcony towards the monastery we had come to see. The breakfast was exceptional - so much choice, we felt we had eaten 3 breakfasts by the time we left the dining room! Although we didn't use the outdoor pool or spa facilities, we did check them out, and will definitely use them on our return (hopefully longer next time!) Nuno on reception was extremely helpful, sorting buses/taxis/train times for us, and suggesting things to see, which we really appreciated given the limited time we had in Lamego.

There is no free parking at the hotel, however street parking works well and there is a free car park 5-10minutes by foot.

The hotel is well located in close proximity to the major sights. Breakfast is excellent

Parking is an issue so is the lack of clear direction to reach the property.

Very nice hotel a short walk from the city center. The rooms are quite nice and well appointed. Bathrooms are large and modern. The staff is very helpful.

A lack of parking anywhere near the hotel and not being able to even drive up to the front of the hotel were negatives which are out of the hands of hotel management. It certainly wouldn’t stop us staying here again, but it definitely helps to be organised.

Beautiful hotel that looked fairly recently renovated. Rooms were very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was great and the massage at the spa was absolutely delightful.

The management was incredibly helpful and accosting. The property was very tasteful and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing. I felt very comfortable staying with our dogs. It was a great experience on a chilly and rainy day. It can be a little difficult to find as it is up a narrow street.

The staff were very friendly. The room is nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing. They even have almond milk! And they warm up the milk too. Part of the castle wall is kept on the second floor which was pretty cool to see.
