We were on a very busy street so at times you will hear cars but we got used to it and everything else made up for it. It was quiet in the night

This property was exceptional. Location excellent, decor beautiful, so many amenities and then more like slippers, a bottle of wine, fresh walnuts. The linens were gorgeous. Just went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable.

Would have loved to have stayed longer!

Luisa went over and above with all the helpful recommendations she gave, mapping the area, giving us helpful insights on the area’s history. The apartment was in a 600 yr old building, and it was beautiful inside, comfortable, so updated. The charming neighborhood was near to everything we wanted to see, which was great since we didn’t want to have to drive within the walls. Luisa kindly provided a wonderful bottle of wine by one of her favorite wine makers.

The kitchen space is very limited while having all the appliances that you would expect. It was lovely for our stay but it might be a tight space to make a large complete meal.

The location of this charming apartment was within the walls of the old town. The host went out of her way to meet us, orient us to the town and interesting locations. She kept a book of guest recommendations for restaurants that were so helpful. Then she personally took us to the underground parking lot. Given an old town’s twists and turns, this was also extremely helpful. Also, the air conditioner worked well and we appreciated it very much as outdoor temperature was hot in the late afternoon.

There is quite a lot of traffic in front of the house because the city has made that street one of the few open to cars coming into the walled part. But it’s a daytime phenomenon so does not really interfere with getting a good night’s sleep in what is a very comfortable bed.

Evora Home is a beautifully appointed, compact apartment in a masterfully renovated medieval shop with a vaulted ceiling and thick, arched walls. Right off of the main square, it is convenient to all of Evora’s tourist sites. Host Luisa is very good at communicating promptly and is full of enthusiastic recommendations on what to see and where they are located. A free parking spot in a modern underground parking facility just outside of the wall (an easy walk, if a little complicated to reach because of one-way streets) is a huge bonus.

The traffic that speeds by at dangerous speeds. I learned to look both ways before stepping out on the one lane road after almost getting hit by one of those speeding cars. my husband nearly had a heart attack watching the scene from the other side of the street.

Nice clean apartment, walking distance to everything. also liked it had a garage space outside the walls of town.

Nothing, all good. At night to get some flow thru ventilation i recommend opening the front windows at the top.

I don’t often give 10 point reviews but this place is definitely a 10. Great location, and beautifully appointed. The owner has paid attention to every detail. The kitchen has everything you need including Nespresso machine. Shower is great. Parking is a 7 min walk away in a secured parking garage. The owner even provided a free bottle of very nice local wine. Two thumbs up!

Only odd part is the parking is off site but you couldn't expect it to be outside the house because of limited space. A secure area is given for your car. The location of the house is well worth the inconvenience of parking off site.

You are inside the walled city and can easily walk anywhere inside. Host was very helpful and excited about the history of her home and the area.

There was nothing in particular we did not like. The cars passing the front door can be noisy but did not keep us awake at night. A small incovenience for such a wonderful location.

Being inside the city walls this home is in the perfect location. Inside, the house is small but well designed and comfortable. The kitchen has all the necessities should you wish to cook a meal. We liked the garage. It was a 10 minute walk away but we did not need the car during our stay so this was not an issue.

    TV could have been bigger.

FANTASTIC location. SUPER clean. Lucia, the owner, was great. She came by on first day and gave me lots of sightseeing information and history on the property - it’s 500 years old! I was there for 13 nights. Halfway through the stay, they came and did a total clean with new towels and bed linens. Very comfortable bed and loved that the bed had a top sheet. First booking apartment that I have stayed in 6 months that had salt, pepper, olive oil, sugar, foil, and food storage containers. The garage was helpful since I rented a car for 4 days. It was a long 15 minute walk to the garage. Avis car rental was very cheap €12 per day. You need a car to go to Elvas (Forte da Graca was amazing - found a brochure in the house), Vila Vicosa, Estremoz, Evoramonte, the megaliths, cork factory, Monsaraz, Reguengos de Monsaraz (where the majority of wineries are). Driving was miserable and very stressful in medieval cobblestone narrow steep hilly roads. If I had to do again, I would have made a deal with an Uber or taxi driver to be my chauffeur for several days. Look through the book she has for previous guest’s recommendations especially for restaurants. I found the Inacquaveritas Roman Spa in her book and went for the Roman baths and massage and it was wonderful. Unfortunately I did not find out that there are real Roman bath ruins under the City Hall until it was too late for me to go see them. Also, there are lots of pamphlets and flyers on things to see/do under the TV and in the crate at the bottom of the TV stand. Enoteca Cartuxa winery shop/restaurant by the Roman temple had excellent appetizers/starters. As did Cavalariça Évora at the convent pousada hotel, not the restaurant inside but the restaurant on the patio. Must see/do Cathedral of Evora Public library if even just for 5 minutes - go upstairs.
