Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomQuite a way from albufera old town so you need to get an uber back and fore which costs roughly between £7-£8 per way., There is a free shuttle throughout the day from resort but it stops at 6pm.
Great clean resort, amazing villas, lovely helpful staff. Kids clubs activities throughout the day would recommend

United KingdomOur only complaints would be the fold down sofa beds being too small and uncomfortable, and the All-inclusive we upgraded to being just a little expensive. Also no half board or bed and breakfast option.
Rooms and service are great. Pools and accessibility great for the kids. Everything appeared new, well kept and clean.

IrelandHaving to go home!
4th time back here with my family- 9,7,4 yr old. Came back with granny, nieces and nephews also this time- 11,12,13 yr old. It really shows that this has so much for all ages. The kids club is brilliant for the younger kids. The older kids love the soccer and sports aspect. A little shout to Carlos the Magician who was great also! A lovely little extra surprise! We always go all inclusive and there is so much choice at every meal (including vegetarian and some gluten free and lactose free options) Staff are just second to none and the entertainment team are such busy bees!

United KingdomI loved it! 😍 must remind ourselves to get ant powder from the supermarket next time though! The ants get everywhere but then beautiful gardens attract bugs to keep them I shape so I wouldn't say I didn't like it but I'm not a fan of sharing my morning coffee with ants lol!
I think this was my 12th return. The staff are sooo helpful, they take time to explain and point all of the important bits out and give leaflets etc to show anything they might have not mentioned. They almost insisted on taking our luggage to our villa although we were happy to carry it and walk because we know the village well and love walking through the paths and gardens. They're always immaculately clean with more than you could need or want for your stay.

United KingdomOur apartment was mouldy in places which is a huge no for us. Portugal is a very humid place so I’m sure this is an environmental struggle however we found ourselves uncomfortable especially in the bathrooms which of course were the worst due to the high levels of moisture. The beds are literally like bricks. None of us had a decent nights sleep. Exhaustion was the only reason we slept at all. The ants were out of control. they seemed to go for our shoes when we took them off in the entryway so I found myself rising the bottoms just so there weren’t swarms of them in the halls and we didn’t put anything on the floors. We places all our things on tables and chairs etc just to keep the ants from getting into them. This is no reflection of the hotel obviously but just something to be mindful of. Lastly the cleaners: They came everyday but very late in the day which was a problem as we obviously would prefer to be out when they got there so we weren’t in the way. They came daily but they made up the room, did not clean it. One of us had gone for a massage and took a bath later on. Th oil from the massage created a ring around the tub. The ring remained even after the cleaners came. We also had a situation where my daughter bled on her bed linen. We told reception early in the morning to ensure the cleaners changed the linen as we noticed they had just been making up the bed, not changing the linen. The stain was still there when we returned that night. We spoke to reception again who sent a cleaner right away and she changed the linen so again, customer service is 5 star.
The staff are exceptional. Literally everyone provides the highest level of customer service from reception to the bar tenders to the pool assistants. Nothing is too much to ask and we found them to be genuinely lovely people. The location is great, not too far away from anything and the resort provides a shuttle service to and from the old town which is literally 5 minutes away or the shopping centre in Guia which is 15 minutes away. There were plenty of places to eat and things to do although most involve water which we weren’t that interested in as it was late in the season. The food was as you would expect for an all inclusive. Same things daily for the most part but it was always hot and fresh and we didn’t mind it as we ate out a lot. Temptations, the on site restaurant was SUPERB! We have a fussy eater in our family and even she cleaned her plate. The atmosphere was amazing and we really enjoyed ourselves. That was definitely a high light for us - dining there. The outside of the property is well cared for as are the common areas.

IrelandThe baby pool could be open earlier -11am is quite late for kids and the loud music at the main pool bar could be turned off earlier. Pool was quite cold but understand that's probably time of year.
Food was consistently good, and definitely worth it on the AI. Not an enormous variation but more than enough to keep a group of 10 people happy for a week. Would be great if they had speciality themed nights to go along with it or more access to the restaurant in quieter periods. We had a clerical error with our booking of the restaurant as it was closed for half the week and had to go unexpectedly when it didnt suit us but the staff were very apologetic and the food was suberb. Staff were so friendly all the time, they were very accomododating to my Dad who needed some mobility support. The facilities were fab as were the four bed villa we stayed in. Made use of the spa and Thelma was amazing. All in all a great resort and holiday. Thank you Eden!
