How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I stayed for 2 nights and, even if I did not booked it, I got the room with the private bathroom. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Fatima is very welcoming and answers your question very quickly. The apartment is near supermarkets, good bakery and restaurants and near the Cedofeita full of bars, pubs, restaurants and good for a walk.

The apartment was spacious and even though we shared it with two other couples we had no trouble with the shared spaces at all. It was very clean and had all necessary equipment for cooking. Also, in contrast to other comments we did not see any cats inside the house and found the location very quiet. It is located very close to a metro station and at foot distance from the centre of the city, which made it possible to walk through all of Porto without the need of public transport.

Bed is a bit too soft for me. Out of the window is a street with bars and cafes, sometimes in the night it was a bit noisy.
The location is good. Kitchen is fully equipped. Room is big and well furnished. Host is very nice. There is also a huge living room. Sometimes there are two lovely cats in the flat:)

The place is not far from the city center and it is easy to reach by metro or city bus. The host (Fatima) is very nice, helpful and always available. The place was very clean and kitchen is available.

Nothing, great location, room and host
The room was very clean and secure windows stepping onto a small balcony. Fatima was a great host and reminded us to ask her if we needed anything and to treat the property as our home. Despite being a large apartment with guests staying in four rooms, it still felt very private and we had no issues sharing the bathroom which was very clean. The two charming cats will sneak into your room for a pat if you leave your door open :)

It was really clean and quiet. Fatima (host) is so kind and always there to help you with everything . We loved our stay in Porto because of her hospitality. We fully recommend it .

The smell in bedroom is not nice, but you get used to it after a while.
Very clean. At first I was suspicious about shared bathroom, but we didn't have problems. Only one time someone actually knocked on bathroom door. Good place for an evening meal next door and a pastry bar only 2 minutes away for a good breakfast.

The street outside the window was quite a busy street, even with windows closed you could still hear the cars outside. The mattress was not very comfortable.
Very friendly host. The whole apartment is very clean. Good location to metro station and supermarket.

The air conditioner is good, but I would prefer central heating.
Room is comfortable and clean. Internet connection is very good. There is Netflix also. There are markets and cafe nearby. Close to the attractions.

Fatima was so friendly and a fantastic host! I highly recommend staying here. She has two adorable cats that were very playful and cuddly. Wine and cake were provided in addition to the use of a fully equipped kitchen. The bed was comfy and the tv in the room had Netflix.

Fatima has been the best host we could have thought of. The house was perfect and there were also the 2 sweetest cats ever. Definitely we will try to come back if we ever are in Porto again.

Free parking is 5 minutes away walking (not big deal for us). No tea or ground coffee. Only people staying 5 nights were allowed to use washing machine.
Great host, quick communication. Good place to stay for couple nights. Shared bathroom didn't bother us. Great kitchen. Would recommend.
